Photo Gallery of Sam Hunt at Shoreline Amphitheater by Sean Liming

August 14, 2017

Sam Hunt was a sold out show and you could tell by the amount of traffic on the freeways and streets. Cars parked randomly to beat the rush of traffic. People leaving their Uber and Lyft drivers on the freeway to jump the fence to stamped to the amphitheater because it was stopped traffic for miles. The usual hour and half drive to Shoreline became 3 hours of standstill traffic. You could see masses of cowboy boots and country attire walking the streets along with music of Sam Hunt in the air. Once this 32 year old Georgia boy hit the stage, the crowd went into a Beatles-like frenzy. Women screaming the lyrics to each song and dancing to the every beat. Once then last note was hit, fans raced to the stage to get a picture or even to get a chance [Read More]

Music Friday Live

Jackie Venson Live at Strange Brew hits you in the gut where real blues belong.

August 14, 2017

Patrick O’Heffernan (Los Angeles) Austin-born and still Texas-based Jackie Venson is a Berklee College of music trained-blues rock guitarist – not a common combination –   who blows the roof off every venue she plays in.  Trained in classical piano, Venson has multi-instrumental chops plus a voice that can drip with emotion or belt with blues.  She picked up the guitar shortly after graduating from Berklee and made the giant leap from classical music to raw and gritty blues and the rest is history.   A new page in that history is the release of her latest album,  Jackie Venson Live at Strange Brew.  This is a knock out blues  triumph. Put on your headphones, clear your schedule because Jackie Venson Live at Strange Brew will hit you in the gut where real blues belongs.   Venson has always been a standout in the blues world, not only because she has a voice that goes from delicate and seductive to in-your-face-with-the-pain-of-the-blues, but because her guitar playing achieves a level of precision at the top [Read More]

Catch Scott Stapp out on the MAKE AMERICA ROCK AGAIN Tour.

August 9, 2017

Scott Stapp is currently out on the Make America Rock Again Tour and it is definitely a great one!  We caught Scott Stapp last year out on this tour and it was one of our highlight shows of 2016. He blew us away with his magical awe-inspiring performance.  In an interview with Scott back in 2014, we talked about what he most looks forward to out on the road and he explained this feeling, “I look forward to this feeling that I get onstage… compared to an athlete being “in the zone”. It keeps me fired up and passionate and I want that feeling, and I strive to go to that place live where you almost feel like you are not in control but you have no fear. You feel you can hit every note, physically you feel great, you feel completely in the spirit of the vibe and the feeling, and connected with all your senses but again you feel like there is something else. That is a feeling I live for…. It is [Read More]
