Interview with Francisca Valenzuela by Patrick O’Heffernan

  Patrick O’Heffernan (Los Angeles, CA) Singer, songwriter, poet, designer, entrepreneur and unstoppable force of nature, Francisca Valenzuela is a phenomenal multifaceted artist who has commanded stages in Latin America, Europe and the US.  Born in San Francisco, USA, of Chilean parents, Francisca’s career includes platinum and gold albums, world tours, a Latin Grammy nomination, and founding a major music festival. She  has shared stages with U2, Café Tacvba, Ximena Sariñana, and many others. She  received the 40 Principales América Award and  the  Best International Artist at the MIN 2015 Independent Music Awards in Madrid, Spain. She designed and launched two clothing lines with the Chilean retail brands: Work it! and Look Sharp! New track from Strawberry Girls is a throwback to 2000, check out First Kiss

Strawberry Girls are ready to take you back to 2000 with their new track, First Kiss. The new song takes you back to the early 2000’s days of post-hardcore that the band grew up on.  As Guitarist Zac Garren shared, “It’s heavily influenced by the more progressive bands of that genre that defined our tastes throughout Jr High and High School. Bands like At The Drive-In, The Fall Of Troy, and The Mars Volta. I’d say it’s the closest we’ve come to writing something similar to my previous band, Dance Gavin Dance, which was fun to do.” “First Kiss” was the perfect choice for the title as the phrase creates nostalgia. Kane Brown open the night up at the Concord Pavilion for the fans with his deep Georgia southern voice. They young 23 year old country artist soothed the young fans with his looks and lyrics and while the older fans don’t mind it either. Dropping new songs that are going to be on his new album coming out in October. Next up was Chris Young who just flew in from Houston Texas this morning. Chris Young must really enjoy playing for all his fans or it must be a country thing. Chris was all smiles and getting the fans what they paid for tonight, great music and being friendly to all that came to watch not him but him and the other performers tonight. Check out the news release below:   Band performance times and expanded onsite experiences have been announced for the sixth annual Monster Energy Aftershock–California’s biggest rock festival–Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22 at Discovery Park, near downtown Sacramento, CA. Nine Inch Nails, Ozzy Osbourne featuring Zakk Wylde, A Perfect Circle, Five Finger Death Punch, Run The Jewels, Stone Sour, Marilyn Manson, and Mastodon top a bill of more than 35 artists performing on three stages.   Monster Energy Aftershock is the final event of the Fall For All festival series, created by Danny Wimmer Presents, which kicks off this weekend (September 30 & October 1) at Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY. From the Canadian city of Oakville, Seaway made their way in a van stopping along the way to make their punk rock presence know where they go. Their energetic beats and rythmes remind you of the older bands of Weezer and Third Eye Blind but to your surprise they make it their own and own it. With their just release album, Vacation, out in stores they were sure to not disappoint. And being in Berkeley where everyone know of Green Day, Seaway wants to keep the Punk/Rock anthem doing strong. Their catchy tunes of “Something Wonderful and “Lula on the Beach” got the crowd singing and festive while being those songs that replay in your head. Motionless In White release “hot” new video

Motionless In White released a new video today for the song ‘Necessary Evil’. The song itself features Jonathan Davis from Korn. As Chris Motionless stated in various interviews, the idea to get Jonathan Davis on board for the song came during the writing process. Korn have always been one of Chris’ favorite bands. Both bands toured together last year, so he decided to ask Jonathan Davis if he’d do guest vocals and obviously he accepted.
