This year our Vans Warped Tour highlight band is none other than Palaye Royale. These guys delivered an amazing set day after day, raising the energy and bringing the true rock spirit to life. Their fan base dramatically increased with each and every show, their meet and greet lines grew longer and they never tired of meeting their dedicated fans. These guys are truly genuine musicians with hearts of gold and the passion shines through every note played or every lyric sang. Check out some photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan:

We also had the opportunity to sit down and chat with the guys and are pleased to bring that interview to you here:

We hope you have already picked up their new album, Boom, Boom Room which is a musical gem that is destined to become the soundtrack of many great times of your life. You can pick it up on iTunes here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/boom-boom-room-side-a/id1096688692.

Palaye Royale has such an incredible and supportive fanbase. We wanted to share with you one fan’s experience, https://twitter.com/CreepWolfe22 and how much meeting the band meant to her. Here is her story,

I seen and met Palaye Royale for the 1st time July 23rd at Tinley Park, IL at Warped. Honestly, they were the only band I truly cared about seeing and meeting that day. Well, I had a top 5 of bands I wanted to see/meet but Palaye was my #1 – no matter what. The moment the gates for the Full Sail Stage area opened I made my way through the crowd and bee-lined it straight to Palaye’s tent. The moment I came upon their pirate tent (due to the pirate logo with theirs on it and their flag) I was shaking horribly and the next moment I was completely broken down in tears of pure happiness. Why? 3 words. Boom Boom Room. I had waited 1 month to buy my physical copy and it felt surreal that I finally was getting it. I bought it and Kristen (their merch woman) just smiled at me even though I had tears down my face. I couldn’t help it though, there are no words to express how proud I am of these guys for finally making their life’s work as a band – a dream they had – become reality. Knowing I was going to meet them in a matter of hours only made me happier. About an hour and a half before the first signing I was at the tent, this time buying a shirt, all 4 posters (3 individual & 1 full band) and tote bag – also got a laminate free as part of a bundle. As I was gathering my merch into the tote bag to carry it I seen Sebastian arrive and I just smiled then walked straight to the restrooms to quickly change into my new Palaye shirt then made it back to the tent just as quick. All the guys were now at the tent and the signing had just begun and I was now shaking even more as I stood at the end of the line – which was a lot shorter than I expected. I was getting overwhelmed to say the least just being moments away from finally meeting the 3 brothers that have became my newest music addiction (since April 15th). Before I could blink I was just 1 fan away from them, mere feet, and I was trying to keep myself together for them but failing. Kristen had opened my copy of Boom Boom Room for me so I could get it signed and I put my extra bag, Warped ticket (it was on a lanyard), and purse on the merch table. Sadly my phone somehow managed to die an hour earlier so I asked Kristen to take my picture with the guys on her phone and thankfully she said it was no problem. It was finally my turn and I walked over and immediately was hugged by Sebastian then Emerson and Remington. They each greeted me with their smiles I loved and thanked me for seeing them, Em even called me ‘darling’ when I got the album signed. I told them how I loved them and their album – they thanked me for the love – then I had my picture with them. Once the pic was taken I gave Kristen my email so she could send me the picture and walked off to my friend Payten who was just outside the tent waiting me me with her friend and mom. I was starting to freak out about having just met Palaye and then the next moment Sebastian walked over and gave me another hug! He thanked me again for the love and seeing him and his brothers and even comforted me asking if I was okay. I told him I was but it was obvious I wasn’t but my state didn’t really deter him, instead it made him happier seeing how overwhelmed I was. He then walked away with Remmy and Em to go get lunch wherever the catering was. I just stood still, holding the signed album, in disbelief that that just happened, fighting back tears.

Then 2 hours passed and it was time for Palaye’s set on the Full Sail University Stage. I was at the Second Chance tent charging my phone the best I could then bee-lined it to the stage just making it in time. I had missed part of their first song ‘Mr Doctor Man, but I didn’t care much since I was at the barricade on the right side (opposite of Seb’s side). I instantly started jumping and singing along with my favorite band, loving every single second. They played “My Youth Generation” which is Em’s favorite on the album & one of mine, then their cover of My Chem’s “Teenagers” which they fucking killed it! That was definitely the highlight of the set for me, Remmy was going crazy on the stage then went down to the barricade (sadly the left side, not mine) and got us to sing out the words with him and even got into the crowd and jumped with us! They definitely did that song and My Chem justice with their performance of such a beloved song of the fans. Then they closed the set with the fandom’s favorite “Get Higher” which was even more amazing live! Remmy got all of us to get super low to the ground then jump right up during the slower bit of the song. Of course Remmy took his shirt off (sadly my phone died right before he did ? ) which caused me to internally die then at the end of the song he went into the crowd again and led us to their tent.

After their amazing set I made my way back to their tent for their final signing. Once again I was freaking out just waiting for them, more-so this time since I was still high on the live experience. I hugged them all and told them how I fucking loved their set and that they were fucking amazing – which they thanked me for with smiles. This time I got the individual posters and tote bag signed and I gave them each a TY Beanie animal as a gift – a floral printed pink crab for Sebastian (Little Mermaid ref. plus his love of wearing prints), a pink love monkey for Emerson (since he’s so adorable like them & a Pirates of the Caribbean ref – those pirates have monkeys – and he is known as The Pirate), and a raccoon for Remington (built-in eyeliner, need I say more?). They all loved my gifts, hugged and thanked me. This time their videographer, Rob Swanson, took my picture with the guys and I was extremely thankful for that. I didn’t want to say goodbye to my boys, my Gentleman Pirate and Vampire, but I had to and that only made it more emotional for me. I got to hug them one last time, thanking them for making the day the best day of my life, they thanked me for coming out and seeing them, told me they loved me for it (Em called me ‘Darling’ again) and I walked away as I wasn’t last in line this time. I watched the rest of the signing, smiling at them and seeing Em smile back with the cheeky smile I love.

I walked around to explore the other tents and found Ghost Town’s – frontman Kevin is Palaye’s best friend – and bought their new album EVØLUTION with a glow-in-the-dark wristband then found I See Stars’ tent and bought their album Treehouse. I returned to Palaye’s tent and bought 4 pins and a sticker (there was 2 stickers already that came with their album and Kristen gave me a free one earlier) and that was the last of my money. It was around 7 and I went to go see Bad Seed Rising close the Full Sail Stage as I waited to (hopefully) get to see Palaye one last time. Sadly they didn’t come back out, even their tour manager looked for me, but I didn’t care cause they already made the day the best I’ve ever had. Plus I got to see BSR for the first time – who is a band that I discovered thanks to Remmy tweeting about them as well as I See Stars and Ghost Town.

I knew the guys were going to be amazing live but they completely blew my mind. They were 100 times better than I expected and truly did give us their all and the best experience they could. It was amazing seeing Remmy move around the stage going crazy, seeing Seb do his kicks while playing his gorgeous Gretsch guitar while looking fabulous in his dark blue velvet jacket with light brown scarf and leopard shades and seeing Em going crazy at his drums looking fabulous with his signature hat that he is known for and we all love. It was surreal almost, experiencing these brothers doing what they love in insane heat that didn’t bother them at all. I loved seeing how the energy of us fans was feeding them and making them play even better and more passionately. They truly know how to give their fans the best live experience possible and make it an unforgettable one.

I was only supposed to write a paragraph about meeting and seeing Palaye at Warped but honestly there was no way I was going to only do a paragraph because the experience is so meaningful and special to me. Besides meeting and seeing Andy BLACK the month before, Palaye is the first band I’ve met in my life. These brothers truly are the sweetest, kindest, most genuine and comforting young men I’ve ever met. (sorry not sorry, Andy was just as sweet and genuine but Palaye trumps) The guys also gave me the best hugs ever, Emerson gave the best honestly, and I didn’t care they were sweaty the second time. If you ever get the chance to see these brothers live, go fucking do it! I swear you haven’t experienced a show like theirs, their one-of-a-kind sound and appearance paired with how interactive they are with their fans make their live shows stand out. They literally sold their Vegas house just to get their bus to get on Warped and honestly wouldn’t be where they are now if it wasn’t for us fans. I know every band says that but with Palaye it literally is the truth. They have self-promoted since day one, run their own social media and Em even drew all the amazing neoclassical artwork in their album and hand wrote all the lyrics. He even has been drawing on Vans making them one-of-a-kind neoclassical art pieces and has been selling them at their tent and on eBay just to self fund his own artwork and the band. They are the definition of a completely self-funded, self-promoting, self-running band and they just got signed by Sumerian Records (Asking Alexandria and September Mourning’s label) this year only months ago. They truly live like they they want to, not letting society label them or tell them what to do or how to act. They created their own unique rock sound and their own fashionable look – letting their personalities shine in the most artistic ways they can be expressed. They truly are leading their own revolution, the Palaye Royale Revolution, making this generation their youth generation where art and music are perfectly blended. I am a member of their new street team – we literally just got started last month -, a Soldier of the Royal Council and there are no words to express how proud i am of how far these brothers have came in just 5 years and being unsigned 4 of those years. Go check them out and join their revolution, become a Soldier of the Royal Council. I swear you won’t regret it. XO

This is one story of thousands and it is wonderful to see how much this band means to so many. The Palaye Royale Revolution is strong and the Royal Council will continue to grow as they deliver kick ass music!

Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news.
