The Mission are returning to San Francisco on May 9th at Great American Music Hall

April 18, 2024

We are so excited to share that post-punk rockers The Mission are returning to San Francisco as they head out on a West Coast  Spring Tour. They will be playing at Great American Music Hall on May 9th and is sure to be a show you won’t want to miss. The show will be the last one right before they play at Pasadena’s annual Cruel World Festival which brings together an amazing lineup of bands; Duran Duran, Simple Minds, Adam Ant, Blondie, Interpol, etc. Vocalist/Guitarist Wayne Hussey comments,  “It’s a very eclectic bill… a lot of bands playing that I’d like to see,” he says. “It’s a shame we don’t generally get festival lineups like this in Europe. They tend to be more genre-specific. Hence, we usually just play goth/rock festivals which can be frustrating as I really don’t see us as exclusively fitting into any particular genre.” You can head over HERE and pick up tickets for the San Francisco show! Noise Pop brings Cherry Glazerr and Wombo to San Francisco

March 4, 2024

February 29th was a special day. No, not that it is leap year! It was the night that Cherry Glazerr returned to San Francisco.  Noise Pop brought us a great show Thursday  night at August Hall.  The sold out show kicked off with an impressive set from Wombo and got the crowd riled up. Check out photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan: The crowd kept up on coming in and packed the house as Cherry Glazerr hit the stage. The intensity was infectious as the band gave 150% to their fans.  There was a mighty mosh pit in the front that couldn’t help themselves as the music was just so damn inviting! The great thing about the Noise Pop festivals is that they bring a wide audience ranging in age from teens to seasoned fans.  One thing was certain everyone in August Hall was having the time of their life. Check out photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan: You can catch Cherry Glazerr out on tour. They have also just announced [Read More]

Normandie release new record “Dopamine Clinic” this Friday

February 7, 2024

Stockholm trio, Normandie, announced their new album ‘Dopamine’ last September. Now the wait is over, the record will finally be released this Friday, February 9th 2024 via Easy Life Records. Set in a not-too-distant and – crucially – not-at-all-unrealistic future, Normandie’s fourth album, ‘Dopamine’, finds the band asking two unsettling questions: what if we pushed our brains and bodies far beyond their limits? And what if we already are? On their follow-up to 2021’s ‘Dark & Beautiful Secrets’, Philip, Håkan (Almbladh – guitar) and Anton (Franzon – drums) tackle the overstimulation of modern life head-on, and answer some hefty questions with some even bigger songs to produce a devastating, clinical example of everything a modern rock band should be. “The whole album is about the chase for different highs and natural chemicals: oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine, endorphins, adrenaline…” starts Philip. “What if dopamine had to be clinically provided because we’ve burned through our receptors?” “Making this album futuristic and dystopian came very naturally when we started discussing the current state of the world. We’re all on [Read More]

The Last Dinner Party deliver a pure night of ecstatic revelry at the El Rey Theatre

November 14, 2023

November 6th, 2023 was a night that will go down in our music history.  We travelled from San Francisco to attend the first Los Angeles show of The Last Dinner Party at the El Rey Theatre.  The show was sold out and was one of only 5 US shows on their tour. This was a night not to be missed. We first heard The Last Dinner Party on our local radio station Live 105 as they were featuring up and coming bands.  They played Nothing Matters and we were hooked from the first listen. We voraciously searched for more information on this English band and sat in sadness as they didn’t have any shows yet in the US.  We spent months playing their songs and wishing for a time to catch them live. Then they announced their 5 US tour dates and we immediately booked our trip.  We were sure to be in attendance for this event! The Last Dinner Party is made up of  powerhouse females that deliver a baroque-pop-rock style that is [Read More]
