Los Angeles based rockers ALEXSUCKS made a tour stop in San Francisco and ROCKED the Brick and Mortar.  Their night featured a killer set by Weekend Youth and we couldn’t be happier.   The band fronted by Alex Alvarez bring together a style of punk, garage rock and 90’s dance featuring catchy lyrics, energetic guitars and grooves to keep you moving. Imagine a blend of Modern English and The Strokes.  What else can you ask for? Check out photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan:   They are definitely a band you wanted to check out. Daniel Romano’s Outfit; a breath of fresh air into the rock scene

June 22, 2023

Tuesday night The Independent for The Dirty Nil and Daniel Romano’s Outfit show. The co-headlining tour brought the bands to San Francisco and we enjoyed openers Wander. We then were treated to a non-stop rockin set by Daniel Romano’s Outfit. This was an absolutely stellar set that was truly a much needed breath of fresh air into the rock scene.  It was spellbinding in every sense and was a full on rock presentation. Their fun, energetic spirited set had the audience in awe, just as were. The music brought everything to the stage; powerful vocals, thunderous guitar, boundless energy and a vibe that raced across the venue, captivating each and every audience member. If you have watched the Amazon series Daisy Jones & The Six, there is something magical in their performances and Daniel Romano’s Outfit had that allure, if not even more. As Rockin Ryan comments, “a band you need in your life! BADASS!” Check out some photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan: You can also check out a video from their [Read More]

GRETA VAN FLEET WINS BEST ROCK ALBUM FOR FROM THE FIRES!

February 10, 2019

Today is a big day and no, I am not talking about my birthday! Tonight is the 61st Recording Academy Grammy Awards. Today during the pre-telecast, our favorite band has taken a big win. Greta Van Fleet has won Best Rock Album  for From the Fires. This is a huge win for them and we congratulate them on all their hard work.  They were up against some great talent, Alice in Chains, Rainier Fog; Fall Out Boy, M A N I A; Ghost, Prequelle; and Weezer, Pacific Daydream.  From the Fires was the double EP from Greta and was released November 10, 2017. That album is such a special and personal one for all of us at Music Junkie Press. It is the music that got us through one of our darkest times; losing our home and business in the Santa Rosa Tubbs Fire.  For that, we thank them for getting us through to the light. They have three other nominations: Best Rock Song  for Black Smoke Rising Best Rock Performance for Highway Tune  Best New Artist  The pre-telecast has already announced St. Vincent taking [Read More]

Top Live Performance of 2018 goes to Greta Van Fleet

January 1, 2019

As we enter the new year, it is time to look back at all the amazing musicians we saw in 2018.  From intimate performances to arena concerts, to festivals and more, great live music was everywhere. Check out our list of the Top Live Performances of 2018 for Music Junkie Press! Topping our list is none other than Greta Van Fleet, who are like a pair of shock paddles resuscitating the life of Rock n Roll. We were fortunate to catch four of their California shows in 2018. Within the last decade,  we have seen many bands deliver some good blips on the heartline of the rock and roll, but none as huge as the spike that Greta Van Fleet is making.  They are bringing a full on resuscitation to ROCK ‘N ROLL so get ready, hang on and enjoy the ride. The first show we saw this year was at the John Anson Ford Amphitheater: “The crowd grew to capacity as Greta Van Fleet were to take the stage. The excitement raced through the crowd as the lights dimmed [Read More]

Check out the new single from All Time Low and catch them out on Summer headline tour!

June 1, 2017

All Time Low have released a new single from their anticipated new LP LAST YOUNG RENEGADE.  The track is called Good Times and you can take a listen here and watch their new lyric video: Frontman Alex Gaskarth commented on “Good Times” stating, “Good Times is the first song we wrote for the album, and the cornerstone of the entire record. Writing this song set us on a path that would lead to this world of night drives, rain slicked streets, and the neon hum of a small town fit for escaping. Without ‘Good Times’, the LAST YOUNG RENEGADE wouldn’t exist. I’m thankful to have found this song in the creative ether, and doubly so for the reflections in the lyrics that inspired this big adventure. I won’t forget.” You can pick up the new album LAST YOUNG RENEGADE  this Friday, June 2nd. 1. Last Young Renegade 2. Drugs & Candy 3. Dirty Laundry 4. Good Times 5. Nice2KnoU 6. Life Of The Party 7.
