Jeff George and Danny Worsnop of Harlot join Camp Freddy on stage at the Roxy

Ok… so now I am really bummed about not making out to the 3 Day Camp Freddy Residency at The Roxy in Hollywood. First I told you yesterday about Austin Winkler (formerly of Hinder) joined them on stage as he sang Born To Be Wild. (Read post here). Well, last night, I missed catching our featured guitarist Day 1 (Read Day 1 here), Jeff George of Harlot and his bandmate Danny Worsnop (Asking Alexandria) join Camp Freddy. Guess what song they played? Poison Nothing But a Good Time which is so perfect since in our interview with Jeff earlier this year we asked him to pick a song from the ’80s to be his anthem or theme song and he chose… Poison Nothin But A Good Time. Wake up everyone, it is Sunday morning and what better way to recuperate from a crazy weekend than by cranking up some new Gypsy Pistoleros!! Today on Day 8 of our 12 Days of Guitarists, we are pleased to feature John 5! John 5 has had quite an extensive guitar career, from playing with David Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson, and others. In addition to playing with Rob Zombie, he has continued to have quite a successful solo career. He is an amazing guitarist that shreds when he plays. He is a guitar virtuoso who can play you anything from bluegrass to flamenco, instrumental to country, and metal to rock and anything else in between. John started playing the guitar at age 7 and attributes his watching of Hee-Haw as a child for his love of Telecasters. Countdown of 14 Bands That Will Rule 2014, #4 goes to The Pretty Reckless

We are in the # 4 spot on our Countdown of Bands that will rule in 2014 and the honor goes to The Pretty Reckless. They are on fire right now and their highly anticipated full length album, “Going To Hell” hasn’t even been released. They have had great success this year with a couple of their singles off their new album and had a successful Going To Hell fall tour so far. We had the opportunity to catch them on their Going To Hell tour when they stopped in San Francisco at Slim’s. One thing is for sure The Pretty Reckless has amazing stage presence and their songs are so damn good. Taylor Momsen has stated in the past that her musical influences are Kurt Cobain and Joan Jett and that is exactly what you get with her! She has this amazing grunge style with this rockin attitude and knows how to work the crowd. His stage presence is non stop adrenaline filled. Through all his stage antics, he keeps smiling and you can tell he is loving every second of being on that stage. Here we are in the Countdown with the Top 5 Bands that will rule 2014! Number 5 spot goes to Tempting Fate. Hailing from Los Angeles, California is American Metal band Tempting Fate and was formed in 2009 by brothers Shane and Cory Beecher. Tempting Fate has Cory Beecher on Vocals, Shane Beecher on Guitars and Electronics, Matt Campbell on Bass and Austin SinClaire on Drums. Tempting Fate have literally created their own style, they call Dub-Metal with their last EP, Hate Nation but be prepared they are taking a bit heavier direction with their new album. Here we are at #6 for our countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014 and we are excited to announce the honor goes to New Politics! I am sure you can’t imagine them having an even bigger year than 2013, but it is true. These guys are on a non stop Energizer Bunny track to success and just have the Midas Touch. Sometimes, it is hard to think that only 4 years ago we met this amazing band in a small nightclub in San Francisco. Read one of my previous posts here.
