June 23, 2014

Sometimes you have one of those days, weeks or even months where you feel a bit overwhelmed and that was me last week! Music has always been my medicine, my drug, my answer to my questions. This past weekend, the music that helped me get out of my “funk” was the new catchy tunes by Allen Cruz & The Galaxy. Allen Cruz & The Galaxy is Allen Cruz on Vocals & Guitar, Josh Huddleston on Guitar & Vocals, Paul Merendino on Drums & Vocals, Brian Crace on Bass & Vocals. Together they have created a unique style of music which can be referred to as Jazzy Pop Rock. One thing is for sure, when I first put on their new EP I instantly smiled and knew that their music was my mood elevator. They could market their music as the new anti-depressant! No Pills needed! Just plug in and listen and let their songs take you on a musical journey to feed your soul with upbeat catchy tunes. They remind me of a mix of early [Read More]

Burn Halo releases lyric video for new song, Wolves of WAR

June 20, 2014

Burn Halo released a lyric video for their song, “Wolves of War” which is off their new album and it is INSANE!! It definitely has a deep 18 Visions influence….. Heavy! Heavy! Heavy!  It is solid and intense on all levels. “The song ‘Wolves of War’ is a statement of aggression and angst towards all that have never given us a chance. This is our answer to the naysayers. With a foot upon your throat, we will be heard,” says Burn Halo vocalist James Hart. “Our label and management felt confident enough after hearing early demos that they pretty much left us alone during the recording process allowing us to make the record we envisioned, with no compromises and no regrets. This album is that vision.” Check it out here:   We featured Burn Halo on our Countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014. You can read more from that post here.  Burn Halo  was created by James Hart (frontman of Eighteen Visions) sometime in 2007. We have had the pleasure of seeing [Read More]

That song is really one of my favorites off Delusions, can you tell me a little bit more about that song? Love Crused Velvet: “Bye Bye, Baby” is about how challenging it can be to process the end of a relationship because things sometimes spiral downwards so quickly.  Much of one’s perception about the other person is formed during the “honeymoon” period when everything is going swimmingly.
