Cory Wells announces new album – new single “Natural Disaster” out now!

March 3, 2024

About three weeks ago singer-songwriter Cory Wells has announced his brand new album “Harboring The Hurt I’ve Caused”, which will be released 15th March 2024 via Pure Noise Records. With the announcement he also shared a new single “Hopeless” to celebrate the cause. Speaking about the album Cory said “I didn’t know if this album was going to come out of me. I have always written from trauma. It can be exhausting, debilitating, and sometimes unhealthy. This record is no different. It can be difficult to admit that the problems in your life may be no one’s fault but your own. The first album was just one side of the story. “Harbouring the Hurt I’ve Caused” is all about the damage that I have done and how it feels to live with my mistakes every day. I realize I’ve been blind, and once I can finally see, the fear that the end is certain, begins to settle in. I believe we all experience this as much as I wish that weren’t true. Take care of [Read More]

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts release rockin new single

January 25, 2024

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts are sure to capture your attention with the release of their latest single, Take The Long Way. Check out the news below: “Take the Long Way” is a spirited sing-along rock anthem. It draws inspiration from Smith’s turbulent experience of not only being kicked off the 2021 Motley Crue Stadium tour, but also being dropped from both his label and booking agent amid the COVID era. The track encapsulates the classic self-sabotage meets redemption tale. In true Tuk Smith style, you’re hooked from the first riff. However, “Take the Long Way” is a different beast compared to previous songs; while there are plenty of killer tunes in the back catalogue, this new track exudes a different kind of freshness and eagerness to please. Comparisons to Springsteen and Petty are inevitable when listening to Tuk Smith, but he undoubtedly possesses a toe-tapping quality unlike any other. With this track pumping, you can easily envision yourself in a Dodge Ram, tapping your hands on the steering wheel while driving down the highway and just as easily envision yourself in a suit, humming along while entering an office on the 75th floor. That’s the allure of Tuk; [Read More]

Neck Deep release self-titled record this week

January 18, 2024

In September 2023 UK-rock band Neck Deep have announced their upcoming self-titled album “Neck Deep”, set for release on January 19, 2024, via Hopeless Records. “We’re so stoked to announce our new self made, self titled record” shares vocalist Ben Barlow. “With a return to roots approach, we made this record ourselves at our warehouse in North Wales, with Seb at the helm, and the rest of us over his shoulder, like it was at the start”. The new album encompasses everything Neck Deep have excelled at across their career, enhanced and dialed to eleven. From the bouncing bombast of “Dumbstruck, Dumbf**k” and the ripping intensity of “Sort Yourself Out”, to the poetic introspection of “They Don’t Mean To (But They Do)”, it’s an album that boasts a song for almost any occasion (including, in recent single “Take Me With You”, the impending alien invasion). In the little over a decade since Neck Deep formed in the Barlow brothers’ spare room in Wrexham, Wales, a lot has changed. From the scrappy, naively hopeful beginnings that [Read More]

Have Mercy – new album “Numb” out now!

December 9, 2023

Rock band Have Mercy just released their new record “Numb”. Frontman Brian Swindle on the new record: “The best music Have Mercy has written and released are the songs that happen organically. The songs that aren’t forced or influenced by people outside of the group. This record was just us three guys writing music because we enjoy it. It’s a challenge to write something cool. Lyrically, the record had no choice but to be influenced by my sobriety, new marriage, and repairing / disconnecting from relationships with people. Over the last couple of years, there have been a lot of changes. We’ve all had to face demons and come to grips with what our realities are and how to sustain a healthier lifestyle. We wrote and recorded the majority of this record in my basement. It’s truly a homegrown record and to me it feels very reminiscent of our first record The Earth Pushed Back. It’s a band again, a group effort. I’m really happy that we’re all in each other’s lives again.” About the [Read More]

The Last Dinner Party deliver a pure night of ecstatic revelry at the El Rey Theatre

November 14, 2023

November 6th, 2023 was a night that will go down in our music history.  We travelled from San Francisco to attend the first Los Angeles show of The Last Dinner Party at the El Rey Theatre.  The show was sold out and was one of only 5 US shows on their tour. This was a night not to be missed. We first heard The Last Dinner Party on our local radio station Live 105 as they were featuring up and coming bands.  They played Nothing Matters and we were hooked from the first listen. We voraciously searched for more information on this English band and sat in sadness as they didn’t have any shows yet in the US.  We spent months playing their songs and wishing for a time to catch them live. Then they announced their 5 US tour dates and we immediately booked our trip.  We were sure to be in attendance for this event! The Last Dinner Party is made up of  powerhouse females that deliver a baroque-pop-rock style that is [Read More]

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Kyle Rising shines with performance at The Independent SF

October 24, 2023

One of our favorite sets of the year was not at a large festival, stadium venue, world tour events. It was at the intimate venue The Independent in San Francisco last week.  We were heading out to cover BabyJake on the SF tour stop and were happy to see that Kyle Rising was an opener.   We watched several of his Doors covers via Instagram and couldn’t help but be in awe of his uncanny resemblance to Jim Morrison and the amazing vocals to match.  One thing is certain, although you might have been introduced to Kyle through his Doors covers, it is his own style and songs that will keep you a longtime fan.  His music and vibe brings a nostalgic nod to the 70’s, all while his alluring voice delivers pure perfection with rich tones that hold you captivated. Check out his latest song, Honeydew which has a permanent spot on our daily playlist.   Kyle’s live performance highlights his passion and impressive stage performance. He not only has a striking voice but [Read More]
