Today I was treated to a special afternoon filled with some KICK ASS Rock and Roll!!! I recently received the new CD by Red9 “Under Dark Skies”. It was a perfect sunny afternoon spent sitting outside and set the CD on play….. Then it began… Under Dark Skies… The first song Hold Your Own brings such a great Sabbath/Ozzy sound that just wakes you your senses and demands you take a listen. Great first song that has you looking forward to more. Patterns comes in next with an incredible drum and bass intro that just leads into an incredible rhythm that just sustains throughout the song. You are now just getting started and ready to rock and roll. Song 3 is Ignoramus and has a dark edgy sound with an exuberant build up that just delivers another well composed song. You continue on with Lead on and Mother that has me scouring the internet to find out when their next show is. I am starting to get cravings for their live shows! Crashing Broadway Summertime for me always reminds me of long days filled with great new music. It is a time to enjoy life and take the time to find new bands whether they be at festivals or nightclubs, it is the time to explore. I have a band for you straight from Tupelo, MS that I have been enjoying and you need to know about them. They are Crashing Broadway and they have a sound that blends rock with alternative and just the right amount of pop. They will have you dancing one minute as you raise your fists in the next. Black Veil Brides release new Lyric video for “Revelation”

Revelation This morning at 10 am PST, Youtube was the place to be and they are continuing to get a whirlwind of traffic. Why? Of course, because thousands of fans all over went there to listen and watch the Lyric video for Black Veil Brides, new song ‘Revelation”. Lead Singer Andy Biersack explained a bit about the song on his Instagram post: “Tomorrow the official lyric video for “Revelation” will be released. When writing this song it was originally meant as a sort of “sequel” to “Fallen Angels” however due to time constraints in the process of making the last record we were never able to complete it, but now it’s ready and we can’t wait for you all to hear it and sing along!” You can watch it here: I checked it out and the views skyrocketed in the first minute, and the likes went climbing to over 2,000+ in the first hour! I wanted to tell you about a new band which is more like reacquanting yourself with a long lost friend. Midnight Cinema is composed of members of the highly successful band, Thriving Ivory. It is not as much a reincarnation but more of an evolution of their creative talents. Clayton Stroope will have you again, magically transported as his vocals take you on an emotional journey that truly touches your soul. Station We have another great rock band from the Rocklahoma lineup to tell you about. They are Station, and even though they sound like they are right off the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, to my surprise they are from New York. You have Patrick Kearney on Vocals, Chris Lane on guitar, Mike Anderson on Bass and Brian Karl on Drums. I just got their CD “Wired” in the other day after returning from the craziness of Golden Gods Awards/That Metal Show, etc so I was glad to be back and looking forward to new music. First, when I opened the envelope, I pulled out the CD and really liked the Cover. It is simple but just screams ROCK.
