New music video for Dangerous by Shaman’s Harvest

October 6, 2014

We recently shared with you our interview with guitarist, Josh Hamler of Shaman’s Harvest. You can read our full interview here: Interview with Josh of Shaman’s Harvest. We have been rocking out to their latest release, Smoking Hearts and Broken Guns which released last month. The first single of the album is the anthemic rock song, Dangerous, which Josh commented, “When we started writing that, we were kind of wanting to write a song that every time you listened to it, driving down the road, you will probably end up getting a speeding ticket because it just makes you want to drive fast. And you know, it just, at that point in time when we were writing it, that was basically when Nate got his diagnosis and you know lots, lots of things trying to hold us down, hold us back, stop us from continuing on and in the end all of that struggle and that fight we had to, we had to endure, it made us better than we were before. Basically it is what the song [Read More]

Fozzy announces new bass player and the CINDERBLOCK PARTY TOUR with Texas Hippie Coalition and Shaman’s Harvest

September 30, 2014

FOZZY is proud and honored to announce the addition of JEFF ROUSE as their new bass player. Jeff is an incredible musician and singer who has spent the last decade playing in DUFF McKAGEN’s LOADED and is also the lead singer and guitar player in THE GUESSING GAME. After former bassist Paul DiLeo amicably and mutually parted ways with FOZZY last May, Jeff stepped in and immediately injected his amazing musicianship and electrifying stage presence into FOZZY’S already critically acclaimed live show. “I’m stoked to have been asked to join FOZZY and to hit the road to support ‘Do You Wanna Start A War!’ Can’t wait to see everyone out there!” Rouse said.  Rich Ward comments, “The first time I saw Jeff play with DUFF McKAGAN’S LOADED, it was immediately apparent that I was watching a special talent. He’s a pocket player with killer tone and amazing stage presence. One of the few total package musicians that I have ever known and it’s an honor to call him a bandmate and more importantly, my brother.” FOZZY [Read More]

Interview with Josh of Shaman’s Harvest and get ready for their release of Smoking Hearts and Broken Guns

September 9, 2014

We are just a week away from the highly anticipated new release, Smoking Hearts and Broken Guns by Shaman’s Harvest. This is one release that I have been so excited about since the album has 12 bad ass tracks that will take you on a ride of emotions through rock n roll. It isn’t often that you find a band come off a hiatus and not only make a statement that they are back, but really garner the attention to put that band center stage in the spotlight. That is exactly where Shaman’s Harvest belongs. The musicianship of the album is impressive from start to finish, these guys truly delivered a musical gem. We had the opportunity to talk with Josh Hamler, rhythm guitarist and are pleased to bring that interview to you here: * * * * * Music Junkie Press: Thank you for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. We are excited about the upcoming release of Smoking Hearts and Broken Guns in a couple weeks. [Read More]

Interview with Country Fried Rockers Phillip Fox Band as they are out on tour

August 25, 2014

The Ohio quartet Phillip Fox Band have been quickly gaining attention for their unique style of music, country fried rock n roll. They seamlessly blend classic rock and old country and fuse it with a modern twist. What you are treated to,  are songs that not only rock but are emotionally driven and create a solid connection with the listener through story telling songs all the while you are feeding your rock n roll soul. They currently have their debut full length album Heartland set for a September 2nd release. Heartland takes you on a musical journey full of hope, loss, love and truth. In a time where the musical industry can stifle a band’s creativity, Phillip Fox Band rose about it all by creating and completing their album fully funded by their fans through a Kickstarter campaign. Phillip Fox explains, “I think the whole Kickstarter thing, particularly with our fans voting essentially with their money and saying, ‘No we want this music’… The fact that we are able to put that out, we feel very blessed [Read More]

Texas Hippie Coalition release video for first single, Monster in Me from forthcoming album, Ride On

August 19, 2014

One of our favorite bands from this year’s Rockstar Mayhem Festival, Texas Hippie Coalition have released a new lyric video. The lyric video is for the first single, Monster In Me which is off their forthcoming album, Ride On and is set for an October 7th release. This song is so BAD ASS! I love it, dirty guitars, seductive lyrics, vocals that grab a hold of you and a beat that just gets deep in your soul.  Check out the lyric video for Monster In Me here: Their new style of music dubbed Red Dirt Metal is definitely receiving a lot of well due praise and I can’t wait to hear their new album. Ride On is due out on October 7th via Carved Records/Caroline Distribution. “It’s like Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top had a child, and Pantera ended up raising it,” exclaims Big Dad Ritch. “We’re Red Dirt Metal. That’s a flag we wave high. There wasn’t a line formed for us, so I created a line and jumped to the front of that bad [Read More]

Their style is straight up no compromised ROCK N ROLL with a Southern flair. You have powerful vocals that soar amid fierce guitars and catchy melodies. Their album, Shot Like A Rocket is what a true rock n roll album should be like and is often not achieved as well in today’s world. You are treated to 14 songs that each carry their own weight and are unique in their own right.  Too many times these days, I can listen to an album or EP and several of the songs sound like the others, in such a way the riffs or the energy are the same, so much that you might think you are [Read More]
