AC/DC announce release date of Dec. 2, 2014 for Rock or Bust and retirement of Malcolm Young

AC/DC have announced the official release date of their new album, Rock or Bust as December 2nd, 2014. They have also announced the retirement of Malcolm Young and that the nephew of Angus and Malcolm, Stevie Young played rhythm guitar on Rock or Bust and will be heading out with the band on a world tour. Here is the statement below from AC/DC on their website: ‘Rock or Bust,’ the highly anticipated new studio album from AC/DC, will be released December 2, 2014. Featuring 11 new tracks and recorded in Spring 2014 at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC, ‘Rock or Bust’ finds AC/DC once again working with producer Brendan O’Brien and mixer Mike Fraser. “Rock or Bust” is the first AC/DC album in the band’s 41 year history without founding member Malcolm Young on the recordings. Michael Lee Firkins announces new tour dates

One of our highlights from the Jason Becker Not Dead Yet 3 was the great performance by Michael Lee Firkins. It was amazing as always to watch and Michael is captivating on guitar. He brought the perfect fusion of blues and rock to life at the venue and everyone was enjoying it. Michael has announced a string of tour dates for October and November. Sick of It All have announce US tour dates for their upcoming tour in support of their soon to be released album, Last Act of Defiance. The album is set for a September 30th. Sick of It All have just premiered their new song, Get Bronx which is off the forthcoming album. “GET BRONX is a term we came up with and use amongst a group of our friends in the NYHC scene. It is used to describe the point that is passed push coming to shove, when you go all out. Bad Luck have announced a new tour set to start next month with Let It Happen and Old Again. The tour will begin on October 19th at Empire in Springfield, VA and wrap up on November 5th at Epic Problem in Tampa, FL. AFI closes out the Carnivores Tour with an energetic high flying set!

If anyone thinks ‘rock is dead’, just make sure to head out to an AFI concert and you will definitely declare it as blasphemy! AFI closed out the Linkin Park Carnivores Tour last Friday in Concord at the Concord Pavilion with a set that left little to be desired.The only think that you wanted, was more of them! They rocked the stadium and delivered an adrenaline fueled set featuring high flying jumps from Davey Havok and Hunter Burgan.
