Tonight Alive is our Tuesdays Travels Pick of the Week

September 10, 2013

This Tuesday we are excited to tell you about Tonight Alive which is an Australian band that really garnered attention when they debuted their “What Are you Scared Of?” only two years ago. Well they are back and on the rise one again. Today marks the release of their new album, “The Other Side” which is available at iTunes or get some cool bundle packages at  MerchNow & Fearless Records or head over to your local national and indie retailers. To celebrate their release, the band is streaming the new album with track by track commentary of the band’s vocalist Jenna McDougall. She has such a passionate voice and it is refreshing to hear what she has to say about each song. You can check it out here: One of my favorite songs so far is Lonely Girl that I have had on replay for most of the day! They are going to be heading back to the States to play several shows supporting You Me at Six. Soon they will be announcing the dates as they headline “The Other Side Tour”. [Read More]

September 3, 2013

For our Tuesdays Travels, I wanted to bring you a band that is not only from Australia but is also one of the bands that will be playing at the upcoming Aftershock Festival on September 15th.  You may already know about this band since they have been getting tremendous airplay over the summer. Our Tuesdays Travels pick is none other than AIRBOURNE! AIRBOURNE is an intense hard rock band formed in 2003 in Warrnambool, Australia and started by two brothers, Ryan (on drums) and Joel (lead vocals and lead guitar) O’Keefe and David Roads (on rhythm guitar and backing vocals). They were later joined by Justin Street (on bass guitar and backing vocals). These four guys have been rocking all over Australia and New Zealand for years and have had quite a following. Earlier this year, AIRBOURNE released their album “Black Dog Barking” on Roadrunner Records and they have created quite a buzz in the States since then. This year was definitely the year of AIRBOURNE and everyone wanted to know more about this band! [Read More]
