Most of you know Jesse Lawson when he was guitarist for Sleeping With Sirens. He has been having great success with his solo music as last year he released his solo album, Chapter II. Today Jesse is premiering a new single, Tall Trees & Long Drives and he will be sharing it on his new DeliRadio show, “Barkeeper,” with co-host Joe Moxley. The program will air every Thursday at 1 p.m. EST, 10 a.m. PST on http://bit.ly/1DHjlZ0. You can also check out the song by visiting his website: http://www.thejesselawson.com/ Lawson explains,

“I’m very stoked on the response the new music is getting so far. I’ve been waiting to share these songs with my fans for a while. I am glad that the partnership with DeliRadio is giving me the option to host a podcast and debut new music. Though these songs will not be on the new album, they’re a nice transition from the first EP to the upcoming full-length.”

The new single, “Tall Trees & Long Drives,” will close out “Barkeeper” with Jesse Lawson and Joe Moxley, on Episode 1, Thursday, February 5. Lawson self-produced the track, describing the song as “very personal to me, it is essentially my story. My goal for this song was to show people that it doesn’t matter where you come from. If you focus and work hard, you can accomplish anything.”

Longtime friends Moxley and Lawson grew up in the same Oregon town, and their inimitable chemistry and charm will be on full display via “Barkeeper.” The show will be recorded at Lawson and Moxley’s shared warehouse, “Suite C,” and will feature interviews with musicians, beer makers, etc. “Barkeeper is a play on words,” says Lawson. “It’s like talking to your local bartender as if he or she was your therapist. Anything interesting is game! Make sure to tune in!”

The song is a beautiful well written track with infectious vocals that you can add to your playlist as it will be available on all major digital retail outlets, such as iTunes and Amazon, at the start of each episode. Music Junkie Press: Congratulations on the release of Chapter II today.   You truly have done a wonderful job connecting the listener to your heartfelt emotions.

Utilizing the crowd source funding option gives the artist complete control. How was it to finally make the album you wanted to, at your own pace?

Jesse: It was awesome, definitely a lot more work but in the end it was very rewarding. It’s also an amazing feeling knowing I have so much support from my fans. I truly mean it when I say, if it weren’t for the amazing fans this record would not exist.

Music Junkie Press: Will you be planning on touring in support of the album?

Jesse: At some point yes, I really want to make sure I have everything 100% dialed in before I get out there on the road again. I want the fans to see me at my best!

Music Junkie Press: Do you have a particular songwriting process?

Jesse:  Totally, this time was way different. Normally in SWS I would write music on acoustic and Kell would write lyrics, and melodies to that. With this project it was just me. So I had the freedom to write however I wanted.. Whether that be singing a melody during the day, then writing the music to it, or vise versa.

Music Junkie Press: On the EP, is there a particular song which you are more emotionally attached to and why?

Jesse:  I am definitely attached to all of the songs, each song has a meaning to me in a different way. They are all feelings I have personally had. The awesome thing is, the listeners seem to have felt the same way, and are connecting with the songs really well.

Music Junkie Press: Your album speaks volumes of emotions and was it as emotional during the recording process?

Jesse:  Not really, my main focus was on sounding the best I could, regardless the emotions came out when I was recording though. You can feel it with each song.

Music Junkie Press: The Road Is Broken has been getting great response and another stand out is Clear and Loud. Can you tell us about that song?

Jesse: I wanted to make a straight up Rock n Roll tune. And that song just kind of showed up on me haha.

Music Junkie Press: Will you be working on a video for any of the songs as of yet?

Jesse: Yea, there is a video out already. For the song “The Road Is Broken

Music Junkie Press: Lastly, is there anything else you would like to share with our audience?

Jesse: I am so grateful for the support I have received from you all. It is an honor to put music out for you that you love. Thanks!
