New Single Buzzkill by Twin Berlin channels Nirvana

Twin Berlin

I have a very special treat for you today.  I am listening right now to Buzzkill the new single by Twin Berlin off of their debut full length album, Sleazebrain which is due out February 18th,2014.  It is unbelievably awesome! It reminds me of one of my all time favorite bands, Nirvana. Twin Berlin just exudes raw garage punk style reminiscent of early grunge days. Think garage style mixed with dirty punk and in your face rock!

Vocals on the track are mysterious and multi-dimensional. The song has some nice guitar solos and I can only imagine what energy these guys give off when they perform live. You will get hooked on the solid drumming and cool bass lines.  Twin Berlin is Matt Lopez on Vocals and Guitar, Sean O’Neil on bass and James Janocha on drums.

Check out their new song, Buzzkill here:

Twin Berlin has worked on an EP with Travis Barker(blink182) an art collaboration with Mikey Welsh (Weezer), recorded with Garth Hudson (The Band), and have been busy performing with bands such as Alice in Chains, Jane’s Addiction, Coheed & Cambria, Third Eye Blind, Spin Doctors, Switchfoot, Eve 6, All Time Low, White Tie Affair and the list can go on and on. They have been featured on MTV, NBC’s Deception and countless others.  They are a band that deserves to be heard and once you start, you won’t want to stop!

Their new LP is said to be “a raw and belligerent collection of songs born out of anxiety and self doubt, executed with a confident, sarcastic swagger.” Now if that doesn’t hook you in, I don’t know what will. I am really excited for this new album.

For now, visit their social media sites and while you are at it, head over to Itunes and pick up their music. Stay tuned, we will be bringing you an interview with Matt Lopez in the next couple weeks.   I will leave you with a video for their bad ass song, “Can’t Take,Take, Take” which was produced by Travis Barker.
