New Years Day wrapped up the US dates of their headlining tour this week. It was quite a successful tour that was filled with a night of incredible high energy music. The Other Side Tour included support by Darksiderz, The Relapse Symphony, Eyes Set To Kill and Get Scared. We caught one of their first shows at the sold out Whisky and were able to catch them as they made a stop in Orangevale at The Boardwalk.  Darksiderz kicked off the night with his high energy electronic set:

Next up was the insanely wild set by The Relapse Symphony. They brought their punk angst rock to the stage and blew us away:

Next up was Eyes Set To Kill and they were unstoppable with their adrenaline fueled set:

Get Scared quickly hit the stage and continued the momentum with a fierce set. They made sure everyone was on their feet and jumping around:

Just as you would think there was no more energy left in the crowd, they were definitely holding a reserve of adrenaline as New Years Day took the stage. It was unbelievable to see everyone singing along to the new songs off Malevolence and soon became the crowd favorites. Lighting became a challenge for the photos but it was nonetheless, an awesome set.

In case you don’t already have it, make sure to pick up their highly praised album, Malevolence. The album was produced by Erik Ron (The Word Alive, Motionless In White) and is the band’s first release on Another Century Records. The album bleeds such honesty in the lyrics and provides the perfect outlet for anyone to break away from the confines of their insecurity, self doubt, darkness and anger. It is like the music that blares through a dark tunnel just as you see the light at the end and know things will get better.
