Our Monster Energy Aftershock Featured Band of the Day is Weezer

Today Music Junkie Press starts our Aftershock Featured Band of the Day. Every day we will be put the spotlight on one of the many awesome bands that will be performing at California’s BEST festival Monster Energy Aftershock. The Monster Energy Aftershock Festival be held on the weekend of September 13th & 14th. Today our spotlight is on the awesome band of Weezer.

I think I first fell in love with Weezer and their catchy alternative rock music back in early 90’s since the release of The Blue Album. I knew back then that they were waking up the pop and rock scene by breathing this fresh vibrant life into what was the decade of dance/electronic music and grunge. They were then what you might call today, pop punk or power pop. They had and still continue to have a vibrant charismatic sound that is synonymous with FUN. We recently caught Weezer perform at Napa’s Bottle Rock and they truly were the highlight of the day! Check out our coverage from that set here.
