The Massive Addictive tour delivered an epic set in San Francisco with Amaranthe, I Prevail and Santa Cruz

This week has been filled with amazing concerts. I want to tell you about the Massive Addictive Tour by Amaranthe with guests I Prevail and Santa Cruz. The tour wrapped up this past week in Los Angeles  and we were able to catch them the night before at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. What an epic night it was! First, the lineup was diverse bringing out everything from melodic metal, post hardcore to straight up rock n roll! We had the opportunity to talk with all three bands and will be bringing you interviews with each of them.

We were excited to see Santa Cruz as they opened the show. They have been one of our featured bands that is determined on bringing Rock back to the forefront of the music scene. They were incredible as Johnny was a madman on the guitar, Middy was raging on the bass, and Taz was fiercely delivering a punch of precision on the drums. Then of course you are blown away by the powerful vocals of Archie all the while killing it on the guitar! These guys got the crowd fired up for the  night. Check out a sneak peek at the photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set:

Next up was the stellar set from I Prevail. I have been looking forward to seeing them live ever since I heard their cover of Taylor Swift’s Blank Space on the radio a while back. You know how I love covers and how a band truly makes it their own. They are the perfect example of owning a cover and creating a completely new identity for it. It may have been the cover that drew me in, but it is their fresh new sound of post hardcore metal that keeps loving them. They came out with a 150% energy and it never stopped. They balance so perfectly the heavy screams and melodic vocals and keep you fully engaged. Here are some photos by Rockin Ryan:

The crowd went wild when Amaranthe took to the stage! It was amazing to see that when Amaranthe performs, everyone is giving their full attention to the band. You would rarely see the phones in the air as the crowd was 100% “in the moment”. Having three diverse vocalists is absolutely stellar and they work so seamlessly together, it is such a sight to behold.  Henrik was not in attendance since he was back at home celebrating the birth of his son Leon. Elize and Jake worked flawlessly with Henrik’s fill in, Olle Ekman of Deals Death. The intensity of their set is unmatched and their music draws out all of your emotions and gives you a place to release. Whatever was going on before you walked through those doors that night, you left feeling on top of the world.   I have waited a long time to see Amaranthe live and they exceeded every expectation I had. They blew us away and I left hoping I could see them again soon, even considering the drive to LA the following night. It was one night that I wanted on repeat. Here are some photos of their set:

I know San Francisco has had its ups and downs lately with concert turnouts lately but with the sold out show at The Regency Ballroom that night, you knew this was one of the highlights of the year! We will be bringing you interviews with the bands later this weekend and I hope you get a chance to see them all live soon. Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news.
