The Misfits and She Demons deliver epic sets out on the Static Age Revisted Tour!

Christmas came early for us here at Music Junkie Press as we experienced three days of Misfits and She Demons shows here in Northern California. We started off with coverage of their sold out show at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma. We anticipated a great night of music but they truly exceed our expectations we were blown away with their sets. The next night they performed at the Rockbar in San Jose and we were not surprised to find many of the same faces of the night before. All exclaiming how they had to see them again and headed out to buy tickets to their next show and so on with the Sacramento show at Ace of Spades. We found dozens of fans who made it out to all three shows, with the intention of only catching one. Luckily the tour was leaving California or we would have all been heading out to another show! (which sounds good to me!)

The night kicked off with the She Demons which is an all girl rock band put together by The Misfits. They bring an air of doo-wop to their blend of rock, old school punk and metal that will captivate you and bring out an air of nostalgia. Their songs reach out to a variety of music lovers and bring them together for their love of the She Demons! They are incredible musicians with a stellar stage presence that can rival the best. The Misfits were, well what can I say…. Spectacular! Jerry Only truly brings a bright light that ignites the crowd with enthusiasm and energy. He looked so good and sounded great! His son Jerry is on guitar and delivers fierce work, all the while, smiling and having a great time. Eric on drums is a beast and delivers precision drumming and making it look so easy. These three together delivered spot on sets that had new and old Misfits fans in awe. It was great to see the crowds that would range in age from 5 years old on up to seasoned concert goers, all having one thing in common…. they were having the time of their life.

The Misfits were like the fountain of youth for many of those seasoned fans as they chose to jump right back into the moshpits, even if it was for only a song or two, and they all came out with smiles on their faces as many relived their youth. You couldn’t help but see the joy in their eyes and on their faces as these concerts meant so much to them. Whatever was going on in their lives, obstacles or challenges they faced, they all washed away as the music played. Here are some photos from their sets by Rockin Ryan:
