The Waterboys new song, November Tale captures great beauty and emotion

The Waterboys from Ireland, have released a new song, November Tale and it really is an amazing new track. The song captures such great beauty and emotion in a romantic tale that brings out a nostalgic vibe. The song reminds me of blend of a couple of my favorite storyteller vocalists, Bob Dylan & Tom Petty yet The Waterboys have their own unique signature sound. It is an infectious soulful track that I have found myself replaying a couple times already.  Check it out here:

The song is off their new album, Modern Blues which is set to release on January 20th via Kobalt. The album was produced by Waterboys leader Mike Scott and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. Although it is the eleventh album for the band, it is the first album to be fully recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.  The album can be pre-ordered by visiting https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/modern-blues/id945388409?ign-mpt=uo%3D4,

Mike Scott comments on the album, “I set out to make a record with an ensemble playing live, to get that performance spirit. It’s how I recorded Fisherman’s Blues.”

The Waterboys are currently planning a North American tour for 2015 and we look forward to catching them out on the road. Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news.

  1. A truly outstanding song. Probably my favourite Waterboys song although Take Me There, I Will Follow You pushes it close.
This song exudes charm, wit and character with an enchanting narrative. The Waterboys have grown with age like the finest wine and their most recent albums are, to me their finest.
