For Day 85 on our 100 Days Countdown to NAMM, we feature World Class Education at NAMM 2017!

NAMM U sessions at The 2017 NAMM Show will offer a robust program across three tracks, including Retail Boot Camp on Wednesday, inspiring NAMM U Breakfast sessions every morning and NAMM Idea Center sessions every half-hour right in the Anaheim Convention Center lobby. Discover best practices and innovative ideas from your retail peers and industry thought leaders who can help you “future-proof” your business for the year ahead and beyond.

The NAMM Show will also feature TEC Tracks, tailored sessions for live sound, studio and stage professionals, offering big ideas, innovative concepts and unique training opportunities.

Retail Boot Camp

Arrive at The NAMM Show one day early for an intensive one-day training for your retail business. New this year, choose from one of two tracks that explore ways to boost your sales, improve store traffic and increase profitability: Sales, Marketing & Websites and Financial Management. This training is for everyone at your retail store, so bring the whole team and watch their renewed motivation reflected in your sales!

NAMM U

The NAMM U schedule features practical, real-world education straight from the most successful music retailers and industry thought leaders. Featured topics include website upgrades, lesson program improvements, store design breakthroughs, simple but effective SEO techniques and next-level online marketing tips.

Special focus will be placed on adapting to the new normal and finding opportunities to thrive. For instance, digital marketing pioneer Larry Bailin will return to The NAMM Show after last year’s Retail Boot Camp to host a future-forward NAMM U Breakfast Session. The focus: preparing for the year 2020 and beyond.

TEC Tracks

For the first time, TEC Tracks will feature daily themes for a deeper dive into the industry’s most important topics. TEC Tracks will be held on Level 2 of the Anaheim Convention Center.

The event kicks off Thursday with an entertainment technology focus, including all-day education tracks on live sound and lighting. Futurism will be the big topic on Friday, when A3E (Advanced Audio + Applications Exchange) begins its future-focused two-day program. Coinciding with the TEC Awards that evening, Saturday will boast a full track on recording. Then TEC Tracks finishes on Sunday with a music business focus.

A3E’s (Advanced Audio + Applications Exchange) two-day program at TEC Tracks will focus on using advanced audio applications to explore the boundaries of musical creativity. The program will also dive into case studies of the advanced audio applications that are transforming the MI market.

Stay tuned for a complete listing of all educational programming, available here on namm.org.
