Day 23 on our NAMM Countdown: Give the Gift of Music Education

Day 23 we want to encourage you to Give the Gift of Music Education!

Many of us have been influenced by the guidance and inspiration of a music teacher or a colleague in the music industry. The NAMM Foundation’s new donor program is an ideal way to thank or honor someone for their contributions to music or for their personal support of your ambitions for a life in music. Donations support the NAMM Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote music education and advance support for its vital role in life and learning for every person. Visit www.nammfoundation.org/donate to learn more. Together, we keep music education strong!

Since 2007, through the support of NAMM members the NAMM Foundation has contributed nearly $15 million to fund programs impacting people across a broad range of musical segments, genres and age demographics. While we have made great strides in helping people make more music, more often, we want to do more and with our new Believe in Music fund and your support we can.

A message from the NAMM Executive Committee.

“We are proud to announce the opening of the ‘Believe in Music’ fund with the initial goal of raising $100,000 to further support music and music education.”

A little over seven years ago, the NAMM Executive Committee and Board of Directors brought forth a powerful vision that led to the creation of the NAMM Foundation; a vision of a world in which the joy of making music was a precious element of daily living for everyone.

Through its ‘Circle of Benefits’ business model of reinvesting trade show revenues into promoting music and music education in the form of grants, research and advocacy, The NAMM Foundation has touched the lives of thousands of people, but more needs to be done.

The NAMM Foundation was envisioned to be a ‘Community Chest’, where NAMM Members and our partners who believe in the power of music education and who have been blessed to work in this wonderful industry could also give back. A place where members could feel confident knowing that their donations were going to great causes, vetted by the NAMM Foundation’s Board of Directors and leveraged by NAMM’s substantial annual giving.

We are proud to announce the opening of the ‘Believe in Music’ fund with the initial goal of raising $100,000 to further support music and music education.

The NAMM Foundation Executive Committee feels so strongly about this initiative that we have individually pledged the first $25,000 toward the goal. We hope you will consider joining us with your own gift of any size to help the NAMM Foundation with its important work. Let’s all express our appreciation in a way that will enable more young people to have the same chance that we had: to grow up with music education in their classrooms and music making in their lives.
