Alternative rockers His Dream of Lions have been rocking everyone with their new video for their song, Cradle. The song highlights their fresh new music that combines an alternative edge and rock in their catchy new track.  We had the chance for interview with Guitarist/Vocalist, Seth Coggeshall and are pleased to bring that you to you here:

Music Junkie Press: Thank you very much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. You guys did a great job with the new song and video for Cradle. Can you tell us more about that song?

Seth: Of course thanks for having us! Cradle was the song that spurred us onto this new record. We spend a while reflecting on our previous work and realized the only way we could open doors for the band was by writing better music. Cradle, and the rest of the songs on this EP are the result of that process.

Music Junkie Press:  We understand you guys are set to release a new EP this October. Do you have more news to share with us about what to expect with this new EP?

Seth:  We definitely want it to be a surprise, but simply put, we’ve become a new band with this EP. Its crazy, intense, and honest. We can’t wait to share it with you all!

Music Junkie Press:  You have successfully created well crafted songs that truly capture the listeners. Do you have a particular songwriting process?

Seth: It  depends on the song. Sometimes we’ll get together in practice and just start jamming, after that Seth will take the ideas we started as a band and flesh them out at home in Logic. Other times Seth with write a whole song in Logic, and then bring it to Colby to help tweak the vocal melodies. It tends to vary.

Music Junkie Press:  Have you ever had a song idea come to mind at the oddest moments or times?

Seth:  There was a song off our first EP called Elsa what was written in a dream I had. I heard the opening chords to the song, woke up, picked up a guitar, and then the rest of the song was written in practice.

Music Junkie Press: Will you be planning a tour in support of the new EP? Hopefully here in Northern California!!

Seth:  I don’t think we’ll be able to make it that far south unfortunately, but we will certainly be touring in support of this next EP! We’ll have to keep you posted on the details.

Music Junkie Press: With so many changes in the music industry these days, is there something that you would like to see change?

Seth:  This is totally unrealistic, but I wish luck wasn’t such a huge factor for up and coming musicians. I like to believe that nothing is totally out of your control, but unfortunately, sometimes its just about being in the right place at the right time.

Music Junkie Press: Your music really brings out a bright light in what can be some dark times. How is it when you hear from fans that your music has helped them or inspired them?

Seth:  Thats everything to us. You start a band, write and record these songs, and at the end of the day all you can hope for is that it means something to someone. So when people reach out to us as a band or personally just to say that they like our music, its incredible.

Music Junkie Press: We all have those special songs that could be our Go To song or the songs that helped us in certain times. Could you share with us what is your Go To song to get yourself pumped up?

Seth:  Famous Last Words by My Chemical Romance, that song is pretty nuts.

Music Junkie Press:  If we could peak into your Ipod, what artist or song might be most surprising for us to find in there?

Seth:  Probably Blue Room by Perry Como. I have an ungodly amount of 1950’s and 60’s  crooner music.

Music Junkie Press: If you could be trapped in a TV show for a week, what show would you want to be trapped in?

Seth:  Mad Men!

Music Junkie Press: If you were able to go back to your 14 year old self, what advice would you give to yourself?

Seth:  Stop acting like such a freak, everything is going to be ok, now go study for your spanish test.

Music Junkie Press: Lastly, is there anything else you would like to share with our audience and your fans?

Seth:  Thank you for the interview! And thank you to everyone for supporting us, without you there would be no HDOL
