Hellyeah have been tearing up the main stage out on this year’s Mayhem Festival.  We had a chance to catch up with Bassist Kyle Sanders and Guitarist Tom Maxwell before their set at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. Check out our interview with them here:

Hellyeah have teamed up with  with domestic abuse prevention organization NO MORE.  In their #HushNoMore campaign they have been sending messages of hope and support to survivors of domestic abuse.  The band released their music video for HUSH in April. This song and music video tell the story of frontman Chad Gray’s personal life experience dealing with family violence. Check out the video here:

It is an amazing song that captures the depth of pain and emotion of experiencing family violence. It brings a voice to those who may remain silent and it also brings hope to those who might feel helpless.

These are the memories in me, you didn’t wanna know,

you didn’t wanna know,

These are the memories we keep, we don’t wanna show,

we don’t wanna show,

but now at least you know….your not alone!

Hush is all I need, to hush the misery

the hush belongs to me, like the hush inside a dream,
