12 Days of Rock Christmas!
Day 2

On the 2nd day of Christmas my rock and roll love gave to me the KICK ASS ROCK of Love and a .38! Oh ya, more true style rock and roll for you on this second day. Love and a .38 has been one of my favorite bands for a while now. When you think of the history of Sunset Strip and Rock and Roll, what comes to mind is The Whiskey, Troubadour, Gazzari’s, The Roxy, The Rainbow and bands like Smile! Tryx! Ratt! Van Halen! Motley Crue! Ally Cats! There are too many to name but I personally enjoyed many weekends on the Sunset Strip during the 80’s and 90’s and they provided some of my best memories of great rock and roll whether it was 80’s Hairbands, Glamour Rock, GlamPunk, it was all great!  So when I first heard Love and a .38 it took me back to those great days and here we are in 2012 and people can experience the excitement of finding a great band on the Strip and just falling in love with them and following them to see where they will play next. They just give you that dirty sleaze rock sound that is like porn for your ears. A guilty pleasure that I won’t be giving up!

Coming from West Hollywood/Los Angeles, it is no wonder that Love and a .38 bring the magic of the Sunset Strip to life. They are the guardians of Rock and Roll and will keep the music alive! Their shows are indescribable. They have an energy that just sustains from the moment they walk on to that stage until their last note is played. Wherever they are playing, they are delivering 1000% at all times. They do not hold anything back, they just let it all out, and what you are treated to is jaw dropping in your face ROCK!

Their style is adrenaline packed with slamming guitar riffs and edgy hooks by Domo Domaracki, solid hard and heavy drums by Danny Excess, cool bluesy rock bass by Justin Emord and then you front it with emotionally powered vocals by Ryan Hudson. Their chemistry is undeniably unshakable and their sound just has a gravitational pull that invites you to rock hard and heavy. These guys should be headlining a National Tour in no time. Check them out as soon as you can. Your rock starved ears will thank me later!

Some of my favorite songs by Love and a .38 are “Rock ‘n Lola” and their rocked up version of Corey Hart’s “Sunglasses at Night”. You can watch both those videos here. Make sure to head over to Itunes to download their 5 song EP. Every song ROCKS!

I will keep you updated as to their album that is in the works and possibly an interview. Also you can head over to their website and you can enter your email to receive a free song download.   Make sure to turn the speakers up and ROCK it LOUD!
