The Delta Saints deliver an epic rockin blues set out on tour, that is not to be missed!

We recently brought you some information about the infectious music of Nashville blues rockers, The Delta Saints. We were able to catch their set last night at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley. The venue is ideal for capturing a band that delivers such energy and emotion when they perform and that is exactly what The Delta Saints did last night. We had the chance to chat with vocalist/guitarist and bassist, Ben Ringel and David Supica earlier before their set and will be bringing that interview to you later this weekend.

The Delta Saints kicked off the night with a set of swampy blues rock that would invigorate you and awake your soul. I have enjoyed their CDs but they truly take it to another level when you watch them perform. They dig deep and give every last bit of energy and emotion into each song. Ben’s vocals carry such a depth of emotion along with the swampy grooves on keys, blistering guitars, funktastic bass lines and on point hard hitting drums. What I love about their performance is that almost everyone in the venue was “in the moment”. There were no cameras or phones in the air, instead you saw the joy on people’s faces and a groove in their step. That is what music is all about, living it, experiencing it.  Check out some photos from their set:

It was great to see them perform some of my favorites off their new album, Bones like Sometimes I Worry and Heavy Hammer. Another highlight was their stellar cover of Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain. WOW, that one will definitely be included in our next batch of TOP 25 Covers. Their new album Bones is set to release tomorrow, August 7th and was produced, engineered and mixed by Third Man Records alum, Eddie Spear who has assisted on projects with Jack White, Arctic Monkeys and Neil Young to name a few. Make sure to pick it up and crank it up loud, your soul will thank me! Here is their video for their new song, Heavy Hammer:
