This Friday, July 29th you can catch the entertaining acoustic duo of Gutter Swan as they will be performing at The Lost Church in San Francisco. They will be playing with Colonels of Truth. You can pick up tickets by heading over to: http://www.ticketfly.com/event/1211101-colonels-truth-gutter-swan-san-francisco/

The venue is a musical gem at 65 Capp Street in the Mission district. The venue itself, has such a rich history as it was built in 1979 by th late David Ireland, renowned San Francisco sculptor.  As his first architectural piece,  the original 1904 single story structure was transformed into his minimalist approach to maximum light and irregular angular structure. Brett and Elizabeth Cline acquired the place in 1997 and has since grown to be an intimate venue catering to grown ups who support the underground arts scene, as the Clines describe, “greenhouse for the arts”.

It is the perfect setting to capture the music of Gutter Swan as the acoustic duo brings emotions to life with their performances. We recently were introduced to their music when they performed at the Poster Room in The Fillmore for the Toad the Wet Sprocket Show this past Saturday. Gutter Swan is the collaboration between vocalist, Loryn Barbeau and singer/songwriter/guitarist, Steve Egelman. They will hold you captive with Loryn’s engaging vocals that carry an amazing range as they dance to the smooth flawless guitar of Steve. Take a listen to them perform Steve Earle’s track, “Lonelier Than This“, it really is a fave of mine:

Check out some photos of their recent set:

We look forward to more shows from Gutter Swan and hopefully we will be able to bring you an interview soon. Make sure to follow them on their social media sites as well.
