Today our BottleRock Napa Featured Artist Royel Otis releases debut album

February 16, 2024

Today for our BottleRock Napa featured artist, we bring to you Royel Otis. This Australian guitar-pop duo from Sydney took us by storm last year when we first heard their track Sofa King. We loved their sound and were instantly hooked, impatiently waiting for them to come to the Bay Area.  We were so excited to see that they will be performing at BottleRock Napa 2024! Today, Royel Otis released their debut album Pratts & Pain. About the album, The album is named after our favourite pub in Streatham that we would go to when we were recording with Dan Carey. Dan would ask us to record vocals, and we’d say, ‘Just give us half an hour, we’re popping to Pratts & Payne’, and we’d have a pint, a few shots, and get some lyrics down. One of our favourites from the album is Foam, an ode to all those who need their mouths washed out with soap. It’s ok if you don’t understand some things just don’t look back in anger. June 15, 2021

AFI has released its 11th studio record “Bodies” last Friday via Rise Records. The band also shared a video for “On Your Back”, which was filmed during the recording of their BBC Radio 1 session and aired last night on Radio 1’s Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter. Check it out: “We are thrilled to finally see the release of Bodies,” says AFI’s Davey Havok. “For so long, we’ve wanted this record to be yours. Now it is.” Last month, the band unveiled The Ritual Collection, a new line of merch that can be found exclusively in The Bodies Experience. Touring vocalist Jessie Wagner’s new solo album will lift your spirits

October 9, 2020

Allow me to introduce you to the powerful and soulful vocals of Jessie Wagner. The popular touring singer (Lenny Kravitz, Chic, Duran Duran, Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul) and frontwoman for NYC rock/soul band Army of the Underdog has just released her debut solo album. The diverse 11 track album, Shoe’s Droppin highlights her soulful, bluesy vocals that are rich in emotion and depth. You can’t help but let her take you away on a musical journey of songs that share her triumphs and pain. The album is a musical gem and it will feed your soul and lift your spirits. Jessie explains about the album, “It’s exciting to stand alone and see if anyone connects with (it). I’ve had some of these songs with me for years, but I was always waiting for the right time to put them out. It’s scary, because this is my voice, my words, just me. It was cathartic to get out some of that anger and sadness, but there’s also the presence of faith that it will all get better.” [Read More]
