Alt pop duo The Driver Era have just released a music video for their latest track, Get Off My Phone. The Driver Era which features brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch released the single earlier this year and are ready to grab your attention with their new music. Hey Violet releases angsty new track, Uncomplicated for Valentine’s Day

February 14, 2024

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than cranking up the new track Uncomplicated from Hey Violet. The band released the angsty new track today. Rena Lovelis comments about the new song, “This song was a way to call out my own distorted thinking in relationships… a sort of reckoning for what I chase and why I chase it. I remember when I was 16 years old and I was dating someone who was just a total sweetheart, and I was bored out of my mind. It really had nothing to do with that person; it was the volatility that Nia and I grew up witnessing that then transgressed into my relationships later on.”   “Uncomplicated was initially written by us, our friend Robbie Hiser, and an artist friend for their project, but we ended up loving the song and asked if we could have it for this album. The lyrics really feel like a harsh spotlight on my thinking and we thought it was an important part of the album as a whole. It [Read More]

Check out indie alt-pop artist Dutch Party and their new track Blade Runner

August 9, 2017

Dutch Party is the creative indie alt-pop creation by Ken Franklin.Dutch Party have just released their new track Blade Runner. The infectious track is the first song of their upcoming EP Combat Pop. The self-produced EP is set to release this fall. Take a listen here:   About Dutch Party: Originally hailing from Twin Peaks in San Francisco, Ken Franklin started writing and recording music after he discovered a recording booth in a small closet beneath the stairs of his parents house, that had been hidden for decades behind a wall of boxes. Inside was a reel-to-reel tape machine, an echo box, and two guitars which Franklin soon used to experiment with different sounds and sonic textures to create his own songs. After moving to LA, Ken started indie alt pop band, Dutch Party, while living in Echo Park with the intent of adding more subversion to the American airwaves. Dutch Party creates music affectionately referred to as “pop with a purpose”.  The band has quickly found success with placements on various networks including ABC and MTV [Read More]

December 26, 2016

Indie/electronic band Doombird from Sacramento are streaming their new album Past Lives now on Soundcloud. The psychedelic synth-pop offering will be released via Gold Standard Records (owned by Artery Recordings) on 12/30 and includes tracks that were recently featured in the TV shows Blood & Oil (ABC), Stitchers (Freeform), How to Get Away with Murder (ABC), as well as the indie film I Live for You. “The album was created within a little over a year,” says vocalist Kris Anaya. “The theme we tried to capture was more of a dark dance electronic record with a haunting voice. The lyrical content within the record focuses mainly on my struggles with anxiety. Even while I was recording the record I was suffering with it. Mainly the inspirations fall in between a lot of Ambient music as well as Electronic Dance music i.e (Tim Hecker, Caribou, Bibio). I personally believe this record vibes well on a rainy day or when you are taking a hike in the woods.” Anaya (who is also the former frontman of the [Read More]
