French Touch Producer/DJ Etienne De Crecy set to release Super Discount 3

French Touch producer/DJ Etienne De Crecy is ready to bring back his Super Discount as he will release Super Discount 3 on January 20th through Ultra Music. The Parisian music scene has been all the rage and the cheeky electro infused house music has been taking over the clubs. Etienne De Crecy worked with director Dimitri Paihle and weriter/DJ Bil Brwester to create a short documentary about the history and creation of the Super Discount series. The 11-minute piece–which features interviews with DE CRECY alongside fellow pioneers of the French Touch movement Alex Gopher and Philippe Zdar—made its premiere yesterday on Pitchfork TV and you can check it out here: DE CRECY will return to the U.S. in February for a select run of DJ tour dates. Starting February 12, he will appear at Verboten in New York City, Coda in Philadelphia, Area 51 in Salt Lake City, Mezzanine in San Francisco and Bardot in Miami with more dates to be added. Our wish has come true as William Control announces the return of Aiden

Here we are at the beginning of 2015 and one of our wishes has been answered. William Control has announced the return of Aiden as he plans on releasing a new Aiden record as well as a tour. It will be so exciting to see the return of Aiden as William Control will bring out the punk rock once again in all of us. 2014 was quite a busy year for William as he put in some non stop touring in support of Neuromancer, he released his book Revelator and traveled the globe. He has big plans for 2015 and will be kicking off some acoustic shows here on the West Coast. Contributed by Alexandra Going through concert announcements a few weeks ago, I spotted William Control playing in Munich. Unfortunately not a headliner tour, but some acts you just need to see live any opportunity you can get. It was William Control’s first time in Germany with this project. Last time was seven years ago with Aiden. That evening he opened for Combichrist. As it is common in Munich and probably some others places too, the room’s not really crowded, when the opening act gets on stage. I couldn’t say how many people really heard of William Control before. If they’d known more about him, there definitely would’ve been more people at the beginning of his show. He started the set with ‘All due restraint’ from the 2010 released album ‘Noir’. Throughout the show he played songs from all his albums ‘Novus Ordo seclorum’, ‘Hate culture’ and ‘Neuromancer’. Our Tuesdays Travels Pick of the Week Band is DNR from Italy. I am so excited to tell you about this great band, DNR who are ready to break the norm with their new fresh take on rock and roll infused with alternative and electro. DNR started as a project from Italy by the bassist Kira who had a dream, “To fuse the Asian and Western Music as well as Visual styles into one.” Although there might have been a couple line-up changes over the years, one thing rings true, the dream is still very well alive and their new sound will reel you in and captivate you. DNR is AxiA on Vocals, Kira on Bass, Yu (founder of German band Cinema Bizzare) on Guitar and Ash on Drums. Together, these four have fused their individual styles and crafted their own unique sound.
