Graphic Nature announce “New Skin” EP

January 17, 2022

Raw, heavy, aggressive, and at times genuinely creepy, Kent metallers Graphic Nature are one of the most energized and exciting new bands to emerge from the British metal scene in years. Taking their name from a track on Deftones – “Koi No Yokan” album, in 2019 Graphic Nature announced themselves with the single “Grit”, and immediately began carving a name for themselves as a ferocious new force in British metal. With their new EP “new skin” – out Feb 25th, their first for new label Rude Records, they’re doubling down. Mixing moments of snarling nu-metal aggro and the scalding fury of Slipknot’s debut album with instrumental passages that at times recall the genius of Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, Harvey says “this is where we’ve nailed the Graphic Nature sound”. Beefier in some places, angrier in others, and more sophisticated at times if you look closer, the result is an EP of songs that carry the spirit of nu-metal, sharpened and bulked-up for present-day, which lands with the confidence of a metal fist. Musically, Graphic [Read More]

The Rumjacks release “Bloodsoaked In Chorus”

December 10, 2021

Worldwide Celtic Punk heroes The Rumjacks have released “Bloodsoaked in Chorus”, the riotous second single off their forthcoming “Brass For Gold” EP, due out on February 11th. In the true nature of a lovesick songwriter, “Bloodsoaked in Chorus” is a ska anthem that belts out in passion. Irish instruments replace the traditional horn section with the song perfectly blending two genres. The follow-up to their critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2021 fifth studio album “Hestia” (which introduced new singer/songwriter Mike Rivkees on lead vocals and rejuvenated the band’s collaborative spirit, and marked an explosive new era of energy and creative release), the upcoming “Brass For Gold” EP finds The Rumjacks capitalizing off their new sense of artistry. “After the amazing response we had from Hestia’s release, we knew we had to back it up, do it justice and show we aren’t messing around with any of this” says bassist Johnny McKelvey. The “Brass For Gold” EP is a clear representation of a band finding a new voice and making sure that voice is heard as [Read More]

No Bragging Rights release new single “Walking Blind”

November 11, 2021

California based hardcore outfit No Bragging Rights release their explosive new single ‘Walking Blind’. The track is taken from their highly anticipated self-titled EP which is set for release on 3rd December 2021 through Pure Noise Records. No Bragging Rights’ latest offering sees the band addressing the struggles of addiction and the difficulties finding support. Speaking on the single’s themes, vocalist Mike Perez comments: “Getting help for addiction is extremely difficult even when the person is sincere in their attempts to get clean. The song talks about addiction and how you grab at anything to fill the void as you are spiralling. The hope is to fully surrender and to be sincere in your efforts to get help”. Now comprised of vocalist Mike Perez, who started the band in 1999, Martin Alcedo (drums/vocals), Daniel Garrow (guitar/vocals) and Anthony ‘Tron’ Laur (guitar), the four-piece produced these seven songs themselves. Recorded between Laur’s home studio and Decade Sound Studio, both in Tacoma, WA, it’s an invigorating blast of melodic hardcore that pays homage to their past while [Read More]

The Devil Wears Prada have released the much-anticipated “ZII” EP via Solid State Records a few days ago. It’s a discordant, dissonant exercise in excellence. Get the “ZII” EP here. The band has now shared the video for “Forlorn”. Hopelessness is a primary theme to ‘ZII’ and ‘Forlorn’ really drives that home”, says Hranica. “While fictitious zombie songs aren’t intended to particularly tug at one’s heart string,’Forlorn’ goes all in at the sense of loss within the zombie apocalypse”. The original “Zombie” EP dropped all the way back in August 2010 and remains an intense fan favorite. While not a chronological release in the TDWP catalog, “ZII” is the next chapter.
