An all acoustic night with Dashboard Confessional and Cory Wells at the Hansa 39 (Feierwerk) in Munich

Last week I was out for a special treat: Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba and Cory Wells – an all acoustic night. The solo acoustic tour of Dashboard Confessional was announced in early June and only one month later some of the shows have already been sold out. By the time the European/UK tour started, it was almost completely sold out. In Munich they played at a really small and intimate venue, which gave the show a very ‘friends and family’-like vibe. Cory Wells is a singer/songwriter from Redondo Beach, CA, playing mostly acoustic songs. The perfect addition to the set. By the time Cory Wells was announced as support for the tour most shows have already been sold out, so it’s hard to say how popular he already is in Germany. Earlier this year, PRS announced an eighty-piece limited run of Private Stock “Graveyard” guitars based on the vintage-inspired McCarty 594 model. The Graveyard II also takes the McCarty 594 model as its platform, but adds a unique aesthetic. The Wood In early 2018, PRS purchased more than 150 curly maple tops from the outskirts of a Graveyard on top of a mountain on the East Coast of the USA. The Gravestones were dated around 1884, and the trees were clearly at least that old as they were forty feet to the first limb. Check out the details below: The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. More than two and half years in the making, the Silver Sky is a vintage-inspired instrument that is both familiar and uniquely PRS. This model, which has been a highly-anticipated announcement since Mayer was first seen with one back in the spring of 2017, was inspired by Mayer and Smith’s favorite elements of 1963 and 1964 vintage instruments, resulting in an idealized version of a vintage single-coil guitar.
