Soul Glo announce new album and share new track

January 11, 2022

Revolutionary Philadelphia hardcore band, Soul Glo is thrilled to announce their fourth studio album Diaspora Problems due out digitally on March 25. The album will be available on vinyl via Secret Voice, expected to ship in late 2022. Pre-orders are available now, here. Today, the band shares the first glimpse of the forthcoming album with “Jump!! (Or Get Jumped!!!)((by the future)),” a hardcore whirlwind of justified rage, spinning like a verbal circle pit with a steady drumbeat and swirling guitars. Lyrically, Soul Glo examine the disposability of Black art and its creators and the mental anguish of having “big big plans” in a time where a future is not guaranteed. “Many artists feel as though time is a consistent adversary when it comes to the production of their work, but there is a population of people within this group who fear even more the probability of their time permanently coming to a close before they can enjoy the fruit of their labor,” explains the band. “Many Black artists who reach superstar status do so posthumously [Read More]

Zero Trust share new animated video for “Clouds”

December 9, 2021

Experimental hardcore outfit Zero Trust shared their ambitious new video for recent single “Clouds”, out now on Rude Records/EVR. The band is a coalition of NJHC and NYHC talent, featuring vocalist BJ Allen (Full Scale Riot, Ghidrah, GMK) guitarists Zack Thorne (Bulldoze, Agents of Man, Skarhead) and Mike Milewski (Bulldoze, Homicidal), bassist and backing vocalist Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria) and drummer Evan Rossiter (Full Scale Riot, Organyc). The group pushes the boundaries of hardcore, metalcore and jagged alternative rock, creating music that is intensely melodic while remaining undeniably aggressive. “Clouds” is a continuation of the bands history of emotive lyricism supported by lighting-in-a-bottle instrumentals. The song oscillates between alternative rock inspired vocals and crushingly heavy breaks that propel the song forward while creating a masterful sense of tension. The angular riffs weave in and out of the melody with caustic results – the song crescendos to an explosive peak that doesn’t sacrifice melodic beauty for heaviness (or vice versa). The official video blends animation with live shots of the band to create a compelling [Read More]

No Bragging Rights release new single “Walking Blind”

November 11, 2021

California based hardcore outfit No Bragging Rights release their explosive new single ‘Walking Blind’. The track is taken from their highly anticipated self-titled EP which is set for release on 3rd December 2021 through Pure Noise Records. No Bragging Rights’ latest offering sees the band addressing the struggles of addiction and the difficulties finding support. Speaking on the single’s themes, vocalist Mike Perez comments: “Getting help for addiction is extremely difficult even when the person is sincere in their attempts to get clean. The song talks about addiction and how you grab at anything to fill the void as you are spiralling. The hope is to fully surrender and to be sincere in your efforts to get help”. Now comprised of vocalist Mike Perez, who started the band in 1999, Martin Alcedo (drums/vocals), Daniel Garrow (guitar/vocals) and Anthony ‘Tron’ Laur (guitar), the four-piece produced these seven songs themselves. Recorded between Laur’s home studio and Decade Sound Studio, both in Tacoma, WA, it’s an invigorating blast of melodic hardcore that pays homage to their past while [Read More]
