Godsmack and Like A Storm hit Munich with an incredible show at the Tonhalle

March 12, 2019

Originally this tour was set for November 2018, when unexpectedly the son of guitarist Tony Rombola passed away and understandably the tour was postponed. So here we are, only a few months later, the house is packed and Godsmack are back! As touring companions, they chose Like A Storm and they did well with that. Like A Storm are a four-piece band from New Zealand, three of them being brothers (Chris Brooks (vocals/guitar), Matt Brooks (guitar/vocals) and Kent Brooks (bass/add. Vocals), completed by Zack Wood on drums. The band hasn’t played any headliner shows in Germany yet, but they already shared the stage with well-known acts like Alter Bridge, toured with Black Veil Brides and Escape The Fate and they played several festivals over the last years. Although the majority of the people came for Godsmack, it’s safe to say the boys from NZ gained some new fans. They opened their set with ‘Pure Evil’ and ‘The Bitterness’ from their current record ‘Catacombs’, followed by ‘Wish You Hell’ from their break-through-album ‘Awaken The Fire’. [Read More]

December 13, 2016

Munich, Zenith, December 10th, 2016 This tour was announced about five months ago and it was a highly anticipated one. After the release of their latest record ‘The Last Hero’ on October 7th, Alter Bridge started out on an extensive tour through Europe and UK early November. With them on the road were Living Colour, Volbeat, Gojira and Like A Storm. The only band that stayed throughout the whole tour were Like A Storm. They were also the first band to play that night in Munich. The band has been out on tour through Germany earlier this year with Escape The Fate, where they played in a smaller clubs. Concert Review: Escape The Fate, New Years Day, Fearless Vampire Killers, Like A Storm

February 12, 2016

Concert Review, Munich, Strom, Feb. 4th, 2016 by Alex Bock, https://twitter.com/abphotomjp   Last Thursday we had ‘Weiberfasching’ in Munich. It’s part of the final days of the carnival season, where women are officially on the hunt for men’s ties, to cut them off the necks of their owners. No problem for the show that night, because fortunalety I was attending a Rock show, not an office party nor a carnival ball. When I saw the concert announcement a while ago and the support bands that where added over time, I thought, wow, what an event. Four awesome band in one night. The club they played, oftentimes starts shows at 9.30 pm, which is pretty late, considering they have to be over by midnight for youth protection reasons. Fortunately, the promoter also thought that this might end up in a race against time, so they changed doors and show-start time to 8.30 pm, which kinda worked out fine. Like A Storm hit the stage at around 8.40 pm, so a decent amount of people was already inside. [Read More]
