Kill The Lights – new record is less than a week away

March 3, 2024

Kill The Lights, which features former members of Bullet for My Valentine, Throw the Fight, Threat Signal, and Still Remains, have announced their sophomore album “Death Melodies” about a month ago. It will be released this Friday, March 8 via Fearless Records. To celebrate the exciting news, the band has also shared the video for “From Ashes” back then. With its classic, ’80s semi-ballad songcraft twinned with modern sounds, “From Ashes” is a new anthem that should accompany all your rigorous activity. Going to the gym? Then put “From Ashes” at the top of your playlist, as it will get the blood and adrenaline pumping through those veins. “‘From Ashes’ lyrically discusses having to live with the pain of knowing that you let your loved ones down”, the band offers. Certain bonds cross any and all borders and boundaries. Kill The Lights harbor this kind of connection between them. Even though you’ve got Michael “Moose” Thomas [drums] and Jason “Jay” James [bass] in Bridgend, Wales, James Clark [vocals] in Minneapolis, MN, Jordan Whelan [guitar] in [Read More]

METALCORE DROPOUT’S TOUR Coheadline with FIT FOR A KING & THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA

February 15, 2024

The 49ers were playing in the Superbowl and we didn’t know what to expect at the Metalcore Dropout’s Tour as they were playing on Superbowl Sunday in San Francisco. The Tour featured coheadline with Fit for a King and The Devil Wears Prada, along with openers Counterparts and Avoid.  Well no worries because the place was packed as concertgoers were checking their phone’s before the first band hit the stage.  The energy was intense as the 49ers teetered on a win as Avoid hit the stage. But as the show started all eyes were on the band. Then as the 49ers loss was announced, the crowd knew what to do as they let out their rage and anger with the fiercest mosh pit! Next up was the Canadian hardcore band Counterparts. We saw them a decade ago and they were every bit as energetic, if not more. They killed it and held us captive from start to finish. The crowd was wild as the co-headliner The Devil Wears Prada hit the stage.  For a [Read More]

VIDEO: American metal band Sour Times are back with People Over Profit

October 13, 2023

American metal band Sour Times are back with their new track/video of People Over Profit. The track is the lead track off their new EP, Awaken The Voiceless which is available on all major platforms today. Joseph Izayea had this to say; “I’m stoked to announce the release of the new Sour Times EP “Awaken The Voiceless” on most digital platforms today. Our new video release “People over Profit” dropping on the Do Work channel also marks the elation in the Sour Times camp of seeing this record finally come to light. This whole endeavor was a long time in the making, and we worked hard to tap into the sentiments of anger, fear, and isolation most felt living through the pandemic and the never ending onslaught of war-mongering from the “profit above all” minded powers that be. Taking into the fold Chris Matthews on guitar and Monte Arnstam behind the drums catalyzed a whole new ethos for Sour Times, bringing out the very best in Ben and I, and pushing the whole project into new territory.
