Fozzy takes over the DNA Lounge in San Francisco

October 7, 2013

Heavy Metal Rockers, FOZZY have been touring with legendary Saxon and last night they had a stop here in San  Francisco at the DNA Lounge. This was the first time that FOZZY has made a San Francisco  appearance and they truly showed us what we have been missing!  They put on an incredible show. These five guys just have adrenaline running through their veins from the moment they step out on to that stage and give us 150% of what they got. We were excited to see them play, since back in August, we had the opportunity to talk with Chris Jericho about the Sacrifice and Sin tour. You can read the entire interview below or check it out here. We got there just in time to catch Halcyon Way as they got the crowd warmed up and ready to ROCK. We will tell you more about them under a separate post.  Then FOZZY started their set with my favorite song, “Spider in My Mouth” and that is the perfect song to get the crowd pumped. [Read More]

October 2, 2013

Suicide Silence Will Continue…. UPDATE 10/4:  SUICIDE SILENCE HAS RELEASED THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF EDDIE HERMIDA (ALL SHALL PERISH) AS THEIR  NEW VOCALIST. HERE IS THE OFFICIAL POST AND PHOTO: “Suicide Silence is pleased to announce the addition of Eddie Hermida to the family. Many of you may be familiar with Eddie through his work with All Shall Perish. For those of you unfamiliar, our relationship with Eddie goes way back to the Spreading Disease Tour, our first U.S. headlining run, in 2006. Mitch & Eddie remained long-time friends and we felt that if the band were to continue it should be with someone Mitch knew personally and respected as both a friend and an artist. We’ve chosen Eddie as our new frontman in association with this long-standing relationship & countless other attributes from his quality of character to his dynamic vocal abilities that make him the absolute best fit for this band.  We hope you all will embrace this decision with open arms understanding that this is what Mitch would have wanted. He would [Read More]

Black Label Society “UNBLACKENED” out now!

September 24, 2013

Black Label Society release their highly awaited CD/DVD of their stripped down performance from the Club Nokia in Los Angeles several months ago. By no means is it stripped down in quality and performance! UNBLACKENED is Unbelievable, whether you are a long time Zakk Wylde and BLS  fan or just finding out about this new album. You will be treated to live renditions that create an incredible bluesy rock jam style feel to them. The DVD/CD is quite amazing. It was filmed and recorded earlier this year at famed Los Angeles’ “Club Nokia”.  Zakk Wylde in addition to his vocals, plays both guitar and piano, joined by Nick Catanase on guitar, John DeServio on bass/vocals, Chad Szeliga on drums, Derek Sherinian on keyboards/piano, and Greg Locascio providing additional vocals. Some of my favorites so far are Sold My Soul,  House of Doom, Queen of Sorrow, Throwing it All Away, Rust, I Thank You Child, Song for You and of course Ain’t No Sunshine.  But believe me, the list can go and on with every song. This is [Read More]

We As Human interview and highlights from Aftershock Festival

September 18, 2013

This past weekend was one of the largest (if not, the largest!) festival in California; Monster Energy Aftershock Festival held in Sacramento over the weekend.  Saturday morning, We As Human  from Nashville, TN were the first band to play the main stage and they truly set the perfect tone for the weekend. HIGH ENERGY, IN YOUR FACE, BALLS TO THE WALL, ROCK N ROLL! Sometimes festivals start off with a band that puts out a mediocre performance and then builds them throughout the day. Well this time, that was not the case. We As Human came out and just got the crowd energized and ready to Rock. Fans with their fists in the air, came running up to the main stage as they walked through the gates, completely drawn in by their music. Who are the guys behind We As Human? Well, you have Justin Cordle on Vocals, Adam Osborne on Drums, Jake Jones and Justin Forshaw on Guitars and Dave Draggoo on Bass. Combined, you have a band that not only delivers intense music but creates a bond with [Read More]
