Waxflower share new single “Soak”

November 11, 2021

After releasing their heart-on-sleeve debut EP ‘We Might Be Alright’ earlier this year, Brisbane pop-punk aficionados Waxflower today reveal a change of pace with their new single ‘Soak’. Having explored the subtle addition of electronic elements in previous releases, Waxflower today boldly step forward into the embrace of layered synthesizers, and a darker, heavier sonic direction. Keen listeners will also note a second vocal on the track – that of the band’s guitarist Jordan Beard. Despite this new contrast, the undercurrent of hopefulness for which the band has become known is still ever-present on ‘Soak’. Mental health has been a consistent theme woven throughout Waxflower’s lyrics, and ‘Soak’ continues this narrative, exploring the anxiety and panic disorder experienced by frontman Tristan Higginson. “‘Soak’ is about the lowest of lows, standing before a hopelessness that feels insurmountable” says Higginson. “When my panic attacks were at their worst, I wanted a medicated lobotomy — I just wanted it to be done. The song zeroes in on those moments where you would give up anything for the pain [Read More]

Lil Lotus shares new single “Think Of Me Tonight”

June 29, 2021

Lil Lotus released his new single “Think Of Me Tonight” through Epitaph today, an explosive pop-punk song – produced by John Feldmann, who already worked with All Time Low, Good Charlotte, Panic! At The Disco and Black Veil Brides. “Think Of Me Tonight” is the opener of Lil Lotus upcoming debut record “Error Boy”, which will be released August 20th through Epitaph. The music video was produced by Pix3lface (PARTYNEXTDOOR, Mike Shinoda, Fever 333, Travis Barker). Lil Lotus comments: “’Think of Me Tonight’ is one of my favorite songs on the album. It’s funny though because it came together in about an hour. Feldmann probably worked on the track for 30 minutes, then he asked if I had anything for it. I said no, but he still told me to get in there. I did and the song came together in another 30 minutes. He said it was the fastest a song ever came together, but it turned out to be one of the sickest ones.” ERRØR BØY TRACK LISTING 1. Think of Me Tonight [Read More]

Youth Fountain announce new EP and premiere new video for “Deadlocked (acoustic)”

December 9, 2020

Youth Fountain is excited to announce “Letters To Our Former Selves” – Acoustic, out now via Pure Noise Records. The four-song collection features fan favorites from the band’s first full-length album “Letters To Our Former Selves”, re-introducing them as mellowed out acoustic tracks without sacrificing any of the grit and passion that fans have come to love. Fans can hear the EP in full, including a music video for “Deadlocked”. “A lot of people like the band for the energy and grit in our vocals” shares guitarist/vocalist Tyler Zanon. “That’s what carries the project. I tried out the mellow things a bit on these songs, but couldn’t completely go there. Ultimately I’m just me”. As Youth Fountain prepares to move forward, the future perfectly mirrors the past. What began as a solo project by guitarist/vocalist Tyler Zanon in 2013 under the name Bedroom Talk eventually blossomed into a full-blown band by 2017, with the Vancouver-based Youth Fountain (then a duo) proudly announcing their presence with the debut single “Grinding Teeth” and a pair of Pure [Read More]

Eventually they made me play it to them and we decided to give it a go. Now it’s actually one of my favorites!” Lead vocalist / guitarist [Read More]

Shatterproof release new video for their track Karma, off upcoming self titled EP

June 23, 2017

Perfect way to kick off the weekend, we have the new music video from Shatterproof. The video is for their bad ass track, Karma. It is the  next single off their upcoming self titled EP which is set for a July 21st release.  The music video for “Karma” directed and produced by Hudson Bloom, is “the classic Mariah Carey, revenge-breakup song,” continuing the band says, “It’s about being cheated on and taking things into your own hands. This story is developed further in the actual music video for the song. A girl breaks up with Benji in the first scene. Instead of being down about it, he channels this energy into his music. The girl slowly makes her way from one band member to the next, breaking all of our hearts and eventually becoming a sort of fake mythology for how the band started. Each member joins this band and bonds over being cheated-on by the girl.”     Shatterproof has been on our highlight bands these days, as they blew us away [Read More]
