Worth Taking will grab your attention with their new track Different Now

December 31, 2015

Worth Taking have successfully fused together my love for punk rock, pop and alternative with their music, and bring hope and inspiration along the way. Their new track, Different Now is off their forthcoming LP Hangman which is set for a February 12th release. Check out the new track here:   The LP visits each step in the 12 step program. As the album progresses, it aims to become more lyrically and musically uplifting, recognizing and giving hope to listeners who are facing troubled times. They not only satisfy your need for new pop/punk style music, but at the same time, deliver a positive message and uplifting spirit. The music will take on their own personal meaning to you and bring you hope in what can sometimes be a very dark time. Their music is a pure example of creativity that heals! Make sure to visit their social  media sites and we will see if we can bring you an interview soon. ~ Marisol Information  & Links: Website: http://worthtaking.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/worthtaking/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/worthtaking

The Misfits and She Demons deliver epic sets out on the Static Age Revisted Tour!

November 25, 2015

Christmas came early for us here at Music Junkie Press as we experienced three days of Misfits and She Demons shows here in Northern California. We started off with coverage of their sold out show at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma. We anticipated a great night of music but they truly exceed our expectations we were blown away with their sets. The next night they performed at the Rockbar in San Jose and we were not surprised to find many of the same faces of the night before. All exclaiming how they had to see them again and headed out to buy tickets to their next show and so on with the Sacramento show at Ace of Spades. We found dozens of fans who made it out to all three shows, with the intention of only catching one. Luckily the tour was leaving California or we would have all been heading out to another show! (which sounds good to me!) The night kicked off with the She Demons which is an all girl rock band [Read More]

Catch Punk rockers Everything Ever as they set out on tour in December

November 18, 2015

Everything Ever may have suffered a setback in August after getting robbed of all of their stuff while preparing for a show, but that didn’t bring them down. They are gearing up to set out on a tour in December. The east coast run starts on 12/03 in Oakville, CT. Joining them on select dates will be Bad Timing Records‘ Romp and the melodic New Jersey punk act The Blithedale Romance. Vocalist/bassist John Trotta comments, “After getting crushed by the robbery this Summer, it’s going to feel great to get back on the road and play some basement shows with bands I love. ROMP and Blithedale are both sick, and I know they’re going to make this our best tour yet. After this run of shows, we’re going into the studio to track an EP that we’ve been working on, so I’m extra-excited to test these new songs out and see how they go over with the crowds.” Check out their video for their song, Big Ideas: The band’s latest LP Solid Ground is available on the [Read More]

The Darlings release new music video for Little Teenage Thing

September 15, 2015

Rockers out of Redondo Beach, The Darlings have released their new music video for their track, Little Teenage Thing. The song is from their latest record “Made of Phantoms” which is available now on iTunes. The video was directed by Buddy Darling and was shot, edited, and composited by Steve Guerrero of Burning Rose Studios. Buddy Darling comments on the video, “We knew after Little Teenage Thing was recorded that we had something new and different. The song creeps and stomps along with sort of a seductive atmosphere.. Something to make girls dance. I knew I wanted the video to be in the bayou, dark and swampy with whacky dancing. Kinda like the way Christopher Walken dances in that fat boy slim video from way back… Also with an acid trip build up, in the end we are peeking in the northern lights. “ Check out the video here: The Darlings have succeeded at bringing an infectious new sound that is dipped in vintage influences that will have you begging for more. They also have a great stage [Read More]

One of our highlights of this year’s Vans Warped Tour was The Karma Killers. These guys were so awesome and truly dominated with their punk tinged rock and roll. They have just released a new music video for their track, Domino. Check it out here: The fun youthful video was directed by Ernie Gilbert and truly highlights the charismatic energy of the band. Interview with The Karma Killers as they bring high energy rock to Vans Warped Tour

June 26, 2015

Vans Warped Tour has an amazingly diverse lineup this year and there is definitely something for everyone at the festival.  The only problem might be that so many bands are playing at the same time and you wish you could clone yourself so you don’t miss all the great sets.  One of our highlights of Vans Warped Tour is the kick ass band, The Karma Killers. Hailing from New Jersey is this punk infused rock/pop band that will soon become one of your favorites. We were able to chat with them shortly before their set on the Ernie Ball stage and are pleased to bring that interview to you here. (We apologize for the audio in advance)     We caught them on the Ernie Ball stage and they just tore it up. Their non stop energy drew the crowd in as you couldn’t walk away from this non-stop rock. They even got the crowd all riled up with a stellar cover of Rockaway Beach by the Ramones. They have excellent stage presence and I [Read More]
