V² delivers flawless set at top notch venue, Rock Star University House of Rock in Santa Rosa

July 10, 2016

We had the pleasure of catching V² (pronounced V squared), which features the young 13 year old twins Vittorio and Vincenzo as they opened up for rockers, Puddle of Mudd. The concert was held at the Home of V², Rock Star University House of Rock which is by far the most impressive of venues that I have ever experienced. With a history of covering nearly 1,000 concerts in approximately 75+ different venues, the House of Rock undeniably tops the list for most impressive venues.  The intimate venue which features a jaw dropping memorabilia collection, spectacular state of the art sound and stage system, full lighting and effects, comfortable seating to include sofa lounges, bar benches, bistro bar tables or if you prefer, general admission standing right in front of the stage. The stage features a catwalk that insures everyone in the venue is getting the best view at all times. Stay tuned for our upcoming feature on this amazing venue and how it brings a first class concert experience to everyone that walks through the doors. [Read More]

Farewell, My Love takes The Rock and Rebel Tour to Santa Rosa

June 15, 2014

Just a couple months ago, we had told you about the awesome show that Farewell, My Love delivered on their stop into San Francisco for the We Own The Night Tour. This past Thursday, we were treated to the return of Farewell, My Love as they brought The Rock and Rebel Tour into Santa Rosa.  The tour just started on June 10th in Bakersfield at Jerry’s Pizza and features Farewell, My Love, Jamies Elsewhere, Incredible’ Me and Lionfight.  On their stop at the Live Musician’s Co-op here in Santa Rosa, it also featured three of our favorite local bands, Awoken Shadows, A Hero To Fall and Chapters. The energy of the crowd was pretty good for a Thursday night and the band kicked into high hear as they took the stage. Farewell, My Love always give a 150% when they hit the stage. It was great to see many of the familiar faces in the crowd. One thing is for sure, they have very dedicated fans and when they are playing, they always make sure to make it out to [Read More]

Wine Country producing great heavy metal with Waxwyng

June 30, 2013

Just over an hour North of San Francisco, lies Santa Rosa. The rock and metal music scene has had a tough time for the past few years here. We lost our only Metal/Rock radio station, 101.7 the Fox a couple years back, a string of night club closures including the most recent of the Last Day Saloon.  You might think that with all this happening, Metal and Hard Rock is scarce up here, but local Heavy Metal Band Waxwyng is making sure it is here to stay! Waxwyng are five guys who deliver some energetic progressive metal with influences from Classic Rock, Thrash, and much  more. You have the powerhouse vocals of Matt Cruz, Edgard Duenes and Will Reyes  shredding on guitars, Alex Wilson slamming on bass, and kicking ass on drums is Andreas Hernandez. Their influences have been listed as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Pantera, Metallica, Skid Row Periphery, Tool and the list can go on. You really can hear their influences in their music. They are not there to imitate, just to create. They [Read More]
