Canadian country rocker Marshall Dane releases video for Alcohol Abuse

Just yesterday we told you about Canadian country rocker Marshall Dane hitting the No. 1 spot onthe Roots Music Report for Pop Country Album, you can read more here. Today we wanted to tell you about the music video which Marshall just released for Alcohol Abuse. The video was premiered last night at a World Premiere party held in Ontario, Canada at the same spot it was filmed at. Filmed at Dirty Dog Saloon, the “Alcohol Abuse” video was produced by The Field, based in Toronto. Since opening its doors in 2007, The Field has garnered much acclaim for its work, racking up over 75 Much Music Video Awards nominations, along with numerous Juno and Canadian Country Music Association nods. Canadian country rocker Marshall Dane hits No. 1 on Roots Music Report for Pop Country Album

We want to congratulate Canadian country rocker Marshall Dane on his album One of These Days topping at number one on the Roots Music Report for Pop Country Album! The album was directed by Dan Brodbeck and has been gaining a lot of attention. Other artists in the top 5 include Hunter Hayes, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry and Eric Paslay. The album is nominated for Album of the Year at the 2014 Country Music Association of Ontario (CMAO) Awards. Marshall currently has his single Alcohol Abuse at #2 on the Pop Country Singles chart, behind Luke Bryan’s “Play It Again.” The song, written by Kim Williams and Billy Yates, comes in ahead of releases by Hayes, Paslay, Big and Rich and David Nail, among others. The Agonist release new video and song with new singer Vicky Psarakis

Montreal’s death metal group, The Agonist have been busy making great new music with their new singer Vicky Psarakis. Vicky Psrakis joined the band when Alissa White-Gluz announced that she was taking over as the new singer in Arch Enemy. The Agonist release a new video which features the first video interview with new singer, Vicky Psarakis, as well as an intimate look at the rest of the band members and snippets of songs coming off their new single, Disconnect Me. Titled, “The Music Will Prevail” it can be viewed here: Disconnect Me will be released on all digital platforms on April 29. Dave Mason premieres new version of Dear Mr. Fantasy from forthcoming new album

The iconic singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Mason, the co-founding member of Traffic has premiered a new version of Traffic’s song Dear Mr. Fantasy. The song is off the rock and roll hall of fame inductee’s forthcoming new album, Future’s Past which features new versions of some of his classic songs plus new material is set for a May 13th Release on Something Music/MRI. I guess it can best be explained by the following meme: James has such an amazing voice, he can take you from flirty, seductive, spiritual, comforting, and fun just by the range of his tones. Tyson Leslie receives Lifetime Achievement Award at the Midwest Music Awards

Congratulations are in order for the amazingly talented Tyson Leslie. Last month we brought you our review of his first solo album, Train Wrecks, Havoc and Heartbreak. Well this past Friday, Tyson was bestowed with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Project Backstage as part of the 4th annual Midwest Music Awards ceremony. “What an absolute honor and evening of surreality!” exclaimed Leslie. “It’s been one incredible weekend being among so many outstanding musical peers all in one place. The awards show was unlike anything I’d ever performed, and I was proud, but greatly humbled as well to be a part of something so extraordinary!” Tyson started making a name for himself in the Midwest when he was just a teenager.
