Animals As Leaders drop brand new song “Monomyth”

September 3, 2021

Ground breaking, genre defying instrumental trio, Animals As Leaders have dropped brand new track “Monomyth” today, their first in 5 years. The band also announced today that they have signed a new deal with their current label home, world renowned independent powerhouse, Sumerian Records. “Monomyth” comes accompanied by a high-concept music video directed by Telavaya Reynolds and featuring choreography by Tlathui Maza / Nohbords. Speaking on the band’s new release, Tosin Abasi shares: “’Monomyth’ is part fever dream, part ritual. Its imagery represents man’s ceaseless attempts to translate transcendent ideas into movement. The conflation of struggle with meaning. Pain with significance. The ultimate failure of distilling perceived patterns in the world into knowledge”. December 15, 2014

We recently brought you our coverage of Upon a Burning Body as they made a stop in San Francisco for The Moving On Tour. You can check out our full coverage of their show at The Regency Ballroom here:  Upon A Burning Body in San Francisco. We were excited to see Upon A Burning Body perform and knew they were going to be fierce. We have been following them since seeing them play at one of the side stages out on Mayhem 2012. It was awesome to see them grown in the short amount of time and once again they killed it at Mayhem earlier this year. We had the opportunity to chat with guitarist, Ruben before their set and are pleased to bring that interview to you here:   Their set at the Regency was brutal as they unleashed a heavy dose of metal to the immersed crowd. The crowd went wild as they created a circle pit that extended the length of the venue. It was awesome as the energy of the crowd mirrored the [Read More]

Upon a Burning Body unleashes a heavy dose of metal out on The Moving On Tour

December 2, 2014

We made it out to San Francisco on Sunday night for The Moving On Tour as it made a stop at the Regency Ballroom. We were excited to see Upon A Burning Body perform and knew they were going to be fierce. We have been following them since seeing them play at one of the side stages out on Mayhem 2012. It was awesome to see them grown in the short amount of time and once again they killed it at Mayhem earlier this year. Their set at the Regency was brutal as they unleashed a heavy dose of metal to the immersed crowd. The crowd went wild as they created a circle pit that extended the length of the venue. It was awesome as the energy of the crowd mirrored the band on the stage. When they perform, they give 150% percent of themselves and hold nothing back.
