Polar releases new music video for Bloodlines

November 10, 2014

Post hardcore band Polar have released their music video for Bloodlines. “‘Bloodlines’ really means a lot to me,” proclaims vocalist Adam “Woody” Woodford. “Lyrically, it comes from a hard time for me and my family. I won’t name names, but it turns out that one of the family members was stealing from another and then they became very hostile towards my side of the family and that’s where the line ‘living with a death wish’ comes from. On a more positive note, it’s one of my favourite tunes to play live, so come down and party with us on the BWP tour in December – we can’t wait!” Check out the video here:  The song is off their North American debut album, Shadowed By Vultures. Polar are currently out on tour in Europe with Close Your Eyes. Check the dates below and see if you are able to make it out to one of their shows. UPCOMING TOUR DATES  11/10  Prague, CZ – Chapeau Rouge* 11/11  Wroclaw, PL – Ciemna Strona Miasta* 11/12  Dessau, DE – [Read More]

Check out the new lyric video by Don Vedda for Casanova feat. Sneo

November 7, 2014

Don Vedda, a young self taught multi-instrumentalist has released a new lyric video for his song Casanova featuring Sneo. This is track #2 off his debut EP and as Don explains, This is Casanova, track #2 and one of my favorites on our debut EP. This song is about an occurrence that happened to me in a past relationship. I was left out in the cold by someone, later the tables turned and what happened to me returned to her. It’s a story of karma. Check it out here: The song is off his debut EP which was recorded and produced by Brian Grider in Los Angeles CA. Don‘s deep appreciation of music shines through his six songs as they take you on a musical journey highlighting influences of rock, pop, metal, blues and much more. We need more young musicians to venture out as Don has and show that music can be created and enjoyed without the confines of genres. Don Vedda is: Don Vedda – Vocals, Guitars, Acoustic Guitars,Programming, & Keyboards Aaron New – Drums & [Read More]

Check out the new music video from Gus G. for Long Way Down featuring Alexia Rodriguez

November 6, 2014

Ozzy Osbourne/Firewind guitarist Gus G. has released a new music video. The video is for Long Way Down and features Alexia Rodriguez from Eyes Set To Kill. It is an amazing track and it is great to see Alexia involved, she is one of my favorite vocalists as well as a bad ass guitarist!  The video was shot by acclaimed director and long-time GUS G. creative partner Patric Ullaeus (IN FLAMES, WITHIN TEMPTATION, AT THE GATES, etc.).About the video’s storyline and background, Gus G. comments: “I worked on this track with producer Kevin Churko (OZZY, 5FDP, etc.), his son Kane and Alexia Rodriguez from EYES SET TO KILL. Once we finished it, we knew we had a special song in our hands.  The ‘Long Way Down’ lyrics were inspired by a scene I witnessed many years ago, when I briefly lived in Sweden. What I saw, is the exact storyline with the girl in this video. We hear about suicides all the time in the news, it’s always shocking. Hundreds of thousands of people deal with [Read More]

Linda Perry’s Make or Break Project winner Hemming releases new song, Vitamins

November 4, 2014

Hemming (aka Candice Martello) was first introduced to the world through VH1’s Make or Break : The Linda Perry Project as one half of the Philadelphia punk duo Omar. Make or Break was developed by superstar producer and songwriter Linda Perry as the antithesis to reality music shows.  Martello joined the show as part of a band, but it was her solo work and a song called “Vitamins” that caught Perry’s attention and started Martello on the journey of finding and developing the voice of Hemming. At the conclusion of the show Martello was presented with the opportunity to make a record with Perry that will be coming out on Perry’s label (Custard Records) this Spring. Hemming’s unique songwriting stamp is her ability to beautifully personify inanimate objects. The idea for “Vitamins” came to her while doing the regular morning routine of taking her daily vitamin. The song is about relying on something outside of yourself, whether that be material goods, substances or another person, to be happy and fulfilled. The song was recorded three different ways [Read More]
