New video from Hot Milk for “Breathing Under Water”

August 16, 2023

Hot Milk are set to release their debut album, A Call to the Void on August 25th. Ahead of the release, they have just given us the emotionally driven vulnerable track Breathing Underwater and it is incredible! A track co-vocalist, Han Mee describes as sounding “like when you break your own heart. To feel like you’re drowning, gasping for air, frustrated and alone. This song embodies the emotion and spirit of our current headspace, and we feel it may be the most important song we’ve ever pulled from the universe. This is Hot Milk’s true heart. Hot Milk is an emotion.”   Stirring vocal harmonies, heartening string sections and effortless key changes find comfort in melodic and emotive balladeering and songcraft to create an impassioned sonic call to arms with Mee stating that “we needed to write this song as a cry to the outside world. Breathing Underwater is the beating heart and defining song off our debut album, it was written first and set off a chain reaction that moulded the feeling of A CALL TO THE VOID.”   Check [Read More]

Hard rockers Of Mice & Men — Aaron Pauley (bass + vocals ), Valentino Arteaga (drums), Alan Ashby (guitar), and Phil Manansala (guitar) — will release their new album Tether on October 6 via SharpTone. Pre-order it here.  The band kicks off the new album cycle by releasing the video for the new single “Warpaint.” Watch it below: Pauley comments, “We’re excited to share ‘Warpaint’ as the first single. Pauley mixed and mastered the album while Arteaga designed and painted the album’s artwork. Hot Milk has just released new single/video Bloodstream

July 12, 2023

UK pop rockers Hot Milk have just released a new single along with a video for their track Bloodstream. This is the third single off the upcoming debut album release. Lead singer Han Mee explains the song came to them, instead of being chased down through long hours in a studio and was written “in its entirety in the haunted early hours in Los Angeles. We started it in the early hours just as it was home time… immediately we knew that this song was something different for us yet had come from nowhere. One of them rare moments where the song jumped from the ether and wanted, nay needed to be written”. That feeling of necessity, a song almost undeniable and inescapable, mirrors the feelings of unhealthy adoration, themes of chasing short-term thrills and how those situations can lead to self-loathing, and as Han puts it “unhealthy adoration comes in many forms, the short term thrill for the post-high collapse can create an abusive relationship. You think it’s love, you think you’re in control, you think you can say [Read More]

Dirty Honey announces their latest new single, Won’t Take Me Alive

July 10, 2023

Our favorite rockers Dirty Honey have just released a new single which is a straight up balls-to-the-wall rock track that you will be instantly hooked! Check out the track, “Won’t Take Me Alive” here: Produced by Nick DiDia (Rage Against The Machine, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam) and recorded this past April at his Byron Bay, Australia studio, the song is loaded with Marc LaBelle’s sleazy, passionate vocals and in-your-face attitude, bassist Justin Smolian’s throbbing bass, new drummer Jaydon Bean’s fresh and bad-ass grooves, and, as LaBelle put it about guitarist John Notto, “…the best riff I’d heard in the last decade. The song is full of sex and swagger, but it’s still got the heaviness and the fun that Dirty Honey’s all about.” “‘Won’t Take Me Alive’ was an instrumental idea I demoed on bass, drums, and guitar at my home studio,” said Notto. “I brought it to the band, we wrote a new chorus, and it was basically finished that quickly. Nick [DiDia] rented some vintage amps and really helped me get the raunchy sound and attitude I wanted [Read More]
