It is great to be a fan of a band from the early days and to see how they grow over the years with their music. A great example is with one of our favorite bands Farewell, My Love.  We recently brought you our interview with frontman Chad Kowal as we discussed the exciting things on the horizon for them.

We are just days away from the release of their highly anticipated album, Above It All on July 22nd. The album is being released their own record label, CRCL Records. If you haven’t already, make sure to head over to  http://www.fmlofficial.com/ and get your pre-order in. They recently released their new video for their bad ass track, Never Stop and it is an awesome one. The song truly highlights how much this band has grown and they have honed in their musical crafts and are ready to deliver what will definitely be declared their best work to date. Check out the video here:

We are excited for the release and hope you are ready for more Farewell, My Love. In case you missed our interview with Chad you can check it out below:

Music Junkie Press: Hi guys! Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press! First, we must congratulate you on the kick ass song/video for Crazy! Can you tell us about how it was making the video?

Chad:  The pleasure is ours! Thank you so much for the interview. We shot ‘Crazy’ at a place called CIA in Los Angeles, CA & it was an absolutely amazing experience! Since starting the band we’ve always wanted to do a more Tim Burton-esque video that brings our theatrical vision to life. With this video, I believe we did just that. We’re so thankful to Jordan Moore, James Kelly, Dennis Condusta, & everyone else for making this video what it was. Everyone killed it!

Music Junkie Press: I believe Farewell, My Love sounds the best they ever have and you guys truly bring a sense of cohesion through your music. With the new music, has it been more of a collaborative effort?

Chad:  Thank you! This new album was definitely more of a collective effort. We all made it a point to step out of our creative comfort zones & tap into deeper types of inspiration more than ever before. Whether it was lyrics or music, all of us had a big part in perfecting & fine tuning every part of every song. We always make sure we’re as original as can be & are particular about the band being the only ones that write our music. We also do a lot of pre-production on our own to really try and find the greatest route for each song.

Music Junkie Press:  We have noticed the new label, CRCL Records which we understand is your own label. Can you tell us how you guys decided to embark on this exciting new journey?

Chad:  We have not been a band for a very long time, but in those years we have learned a lot & have made a good amount of friends in the industry. We came to the realization that there are so many things that we can do on our own that will save us substantial money & frustration caused by having to rely on others. I feel like this band has always created its best content & music when we’ve had complete creative control, so the whole experience has been amazing to say the least.

Music Junkie Press:  With the new label, will you be releasing a new album soon? We know that everyone, including us is very excited and hoping for more new music.

Chad:  Yes! We actually just announced through Rock Sound that our new album “Above It All” will be released on July 22nd via CRCL Records. This is by far the most proud we’ve ever been of anything we’ve ever created together & we feel that it’s the best representation of the band so far.

Music Junkie Press:  With your new label, will you also be taking on new artists as well?

Chad:  We are currently focusing majority of efforts on our own record but we are most definitely planning on pursuing other artists to create a CRCL Records movement. We absolutely strive to make a mark in the entertainment industry by pushing artists that fit our interpretation of what we believe should be relevant in music.

Music Junkie Press:  You guys have some extremely dedicated fans from all over the world, will you be planning any upcoming tours here in the US as well as overseas?

Chad:  We currently have some tours in the works, nothing we can really talk about yet though. Regardless, we are very excited to get back out there & see everyone again.

Music Junkie Press:  So many people have turned to music for healing, helping or inspiration. Your fans have shared stories about how your music has helped them through troubled times. How does it feel to hear these stories that they share with you about how much of an impact you have made on them?

Chad:  That’s literally been the whole point in pursuing this band ever since the very beginning. I was the kid that would look through my lyric booklets from bands like My Chemical Romance, AFI, & The Used to gather inspiration to help other people in the world the same way their music helped me. I want people to feel like they have the power to make their dreams a reality.

Music Junkie Press:  Could you recall a particular album or song that has been your Go To when you need that pick me up or music to lift your spirits?

Chad: The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance is my favorite album of all time so definitely that one.

Music Junkie Press:  Can you tell us more about your show at the Chain Reaction with the return of I AM GHOST?

Chad:  It’s going to be one hell of a show. I know that there are only around 30 tickets left so I can promise it’ll be very sweaty, intimate, & punk. One of the first shows I ever went to was I Am Ghost & it was one of the moments that pushed me to want to start my own band. It’s going to be very special for me.

Music Junkie Press:  The internet, which once might have provided others an escape from reality, has turned into a darker place. Do you ever feel the need to digitally disconnect?

Chad: Yes, definitely. I feel like the Internet has given anyone the power to have a voice, which isn’t a bad thing unless they’re using it to hurt others & break them down. People need to go back to the whole “treat others the way you want to be treated” way of life. There is no excuse for online bullying or bullying in general. The internet and social media only extends the opportunity to do that without consequence.

Music Junkie Press:  What advice could you give to others as they might face cyber bullying or online hate?

Chad: Block out anyone who makes you feel like you are lesser of a person for being yourself. Being you is the greatest thing you can do for yourself.

Music Junkie Press:  You guys truly bring passion to your music as well as a positive message of hope and inspiration. Lastly, is there anything you would like to share with your fans and our audience?

Chad: Our new album “Above It All” is currently available for preorder on http://FMLofficial.com so be sure to pick up a copy! & as always, thank you so much for all you do for us!
