Drown yourself in Villains of Vaudeville and come ALIVE!

June 15, 2013

Do you know what is coming up and you have to be ready for???? The premiere of Villains of Vaudeville‘s video for Demolition Baby!   If you don’t know who I am talking about, let me share my love for Villains of Vaudeville with you. I have been secretly in love with my new favorite CD that has been hidden away because I just don’t want to lose this one to ANYONE! It has remnants of everything from Marilyn Manson to Rob Zombie with a hint of STP and everything in between!  Just as stated from Villains of Vaudeville, it is   “Beats that threaten to entrance your soul. Riffs that will rake you from the flames of hell to the rapture of heaven… Listening is a surrender to the right of passage… an Initiation to the dance… You have been warned.” That is so true in so  many ways. Youcan  just get lost in the music in the very best way. Drowning in a romantic array of lyrical beauty that is Kenny Kweens. It [Read More]

Get under the spell of Red9 and rock!

June 14, 2013

Today I was treated to a special afternoon filled with some KICK ASS Rock and Roll!!! I recently received the new CD by Red9 “Under Dark Skies”.  It was a perfect sunny afternoon spent sitting outside and set the CD on play….. Then it began… Under Dark Skies… The first song Hold Your Own brings such a great Sabbath/Ozzy sound that just wakes you your senses and demands you take a listen. Great first song that has you looking forward to more. Patterns comes in next with an incredible drum and bass intro that just leads into an incredible rhythm that just sustains throughout the song. You are now just getting started and ready to rock and roll. Song 3 is Ignoramus and has a dark edgy sound with an exuberant build up that just delivers another well composed song. You continue on with Lead on and Mother that has me scouring the internet to find out when their next show is. I am starting to get cravings for their live shows! We saw them last year open for Slash [Read More]

It is time to welcome the Marty Ray Project into your life!

June 6, 2013

I know a lot of you know me for my intense love for rock and roll but you also should know that I have a soft spot for really good country music.  Well my passion for country has just been satisfied.  It has been a long time since I have had my affection for country music peaked in any way. Well that has all changed.  I recently heard one of the most amazing voices that literally sent shivers down my spine! His name is Marty and he is from the Marty Ray Project.  I watched a YouTube video where he did a cover of Billionaire by Bruno Mars & Travie McCoy. You can watch that video right here: We then found out that there is much more to Marty than his cover songs on YouTube. He has his own original music.  I couldn’t wait to listen to and to  find out more about this burly bald teddy bear with a bad ass beard!  Marty says, “My Mother always said when I cried as a baby [Read More]

Shocking News of Mick Morris dead at age 35

June 3, 2013

Mick Richard Morris  March 9, 1978 – June 3, 2013 We just got the shocking news of the passing of Mick Morris at the young age of 35 in his sleep last night. Mick has also been known as Mick Deth on his social media sites. I am just in shock, just a few weeks ago Mick had been in the hospital in Utah due to blood clots. At that time he had found out about a blood disorder and a hole in his heart that he had since birth. He had been in and out of the hospital for the past month or so. Mick was born in Salt Lake City on March 9, 1978. Mick started his love for music at a young age and he often talked about how watching Metallica was the great push for him to follow his love for music. Mick demonstrated his love for a variety of genres of music as he listened and played music from classic rock, punk, hard core, 80’s metal, thrash and so much [Read More]
