The Relapse Symphony heading out on the Bad Blood Tour!

August 23, 2013

When you think of Washington, DC, the first thing that may come to your mind is politics but after hearing The Relapse Symphony all that will be changed. You will be forever changed by the true rock and roll that is The Relapse Symphony! They currently have their EP, Time’s Running Out that you can get now on Itunes and other music sites. This EP delivers solid drumming by Tyler Gloyd, hooky as hell guitar by JC Charles and Alex Foxx,  captivating vocals by Bret Von Dehl and slamming bass by Brandon Kile.  Every song takes you on a musical journey and “Make Your Move” has one of the catchiest chorus and “The Other Side of Town” is like a fusion of Green Day and Motley Crue. I love that they put all their influences on the table and just created a work of art that defines no boundaries. They are rock and roll and they are here to stay! Check out their video for their single, “Panic” which is one of my favorites [Read More]

Full Devil Jacket announces Kickstarter campaign for new album!

August 23, 2013

Two of my biggest passions, supporting the music industry and DAMN GOOD Rock! Well, with Full Devil Jacket‘s new Kickstarter I can bring my two passions together. Full Devil Jacket from Jackson, TN has has had their fair share of ups and downs, member changes, etc  over the past 15+ years but you wouldn’t have guessed it, if you listen to them today. They are focused, passionate and determined to release their first album in 12 years and you have a chance at helping to make that dream a reality. Full Metal Jacket is Josh Brown on Vocals, Brian Kirk and Paul Varnick on Guitars, Moose Douglass on Bass and Keith Foster on Drums.   They have just started their Kickstarter campaign to  help raise funds to record and release their 2nd album. You can head over to Kickstarter and watch the video that explains more about this album.  What is important for me, is helping a band to fulfill their dreams of making this record without a big name label to back them. Who is backing Full Devil [Read More]

The Swellers, from a crossroads to Becoming Self Aware & Tour Dates!

August 22, 2013

Michigan punk band, The Swellers are set to release their fourth LP, The Lights Under Closed Doors through No Sleep Records. They have a release date of October 29th but you can head over to the No Sleep Records website and pre-order it.  They have teamed up with animal rights PETA to premier their  new song, “Becoming Self Aware” on their PETATV site or the link here. The song is incredible and has some soul awaking lyrics that just draw you in.  Drummer Jonathan Diener talks more about this song as he explains, “I did a couchsurfing/soul searching week with my friends between tour, I was at a crossroads in my life, but one day I had nowhere to go, played my guitar in a park and parts of songs I’ve had for a while came together.  It turned into my favorite song on the new record.” It definitely is my new favorite song and I can’t wait to hear the rest. You can also take a listen to another one of their new songs, “Should” on the [Read More]

Balance and Composure set to release Album and Fall Tour with Coheed and Cambria

August 21, 2013

Pennsylvania alternative rock band, Balance and Composure are set to release their new album on September 10th via No Sleep Records. I am truly excited about this one! Titled, “The Things We Think We’re Missing” is their second album and I have already heard one of the songs off it, Reflection and it has me eagerly counting the downs down until the full album release.  Balance and Composure have to be my new favorite indie-alternative band! I just heard Tiny Raindrop, another single from the new album and it brings back my love of the 90’s when alternative music captivated my attention and didn’t blur the lines with sub-genres.!  Their music reminds me of a mixture of Toad the Wet Sprocket, Blur and School of Fish. They, in no way imitate, since their music has it’s own refreshing original sound that I am savoring. You can head over to nslp.co/bacpreorder and iTunes  to pre-order. In addition, they are releasing this incredible album on VINYL and have several multi-colored vinyl pressings. This will definitely be a time where you may [Read More]
