HALESTORM Photos from Aftershock Festival

October 26, 2013

We are still working on all of Aftershock coverage from last month!! Can you believe it? Well there were soooo  many bands and a lot to cover. One of those bands was Halestorm, who is a long time favorite of ours. We have seen them probably about a half dozen times and they never disappoint!  I describe Halestorm as my ear porn, it is too good to be true and you almost feel guilty for listening! At Aftershock, they were inredible, always delivering high energy and have such fierce stage presence!  You can check out the photos from their set in this tribute video from Rockin Ryan.   They are currently touring overseas and we can’t wait to catch them when they come around again. Make sure to check out their social media sites and pick up their latest release, “ReAniMate 2.0 The Covers EP. ~Marisol Information & Links:  Halestorm Facebook:     www.facebook.com/halestormrocks Halestorm Website:  www.halestormrocks.com Halestorm Twitter:   www.twitter.com/halestorm

October 25, 2013

Can you imagine Dave Grohl, Jack Black and Val Kilmer perform a 70’s style Southern Rock song? Well you don’t have it imagine much longer. On the Yahoo Screen Web series, Ghost Girls they do just that. On the series, two ghost hunter girls are set out to investigate the paranormal at a recording studio that has been haunted by a 1970’s Southern Rock Band, Sweetriver and The Huckleberry Dogs. The episode deals with the fact that three musicians must work together to finish their last song in order for them to cross over to the musical heaven in the sky! The three guys are awesome in their performance and you can watch the full episodes on Yahoo Screen Ghost Girls but for now you can check out the video for the song they finally finish. So check out their song “Back to the Beginning” by Sweetriver and The Huckleberry Dogs.  Click the link below to watch: http://screen.yahoo.com/ghost-ghirls/ghost-ghirls-music-video-jack-201221431.html If you are feeling connected to that song, you can always pick it up on Itunes for [Read More]

Fiona Kernaghan singer songwriter extraordinaire

October 24, 2013

Sometimes you hear a song that just is music to feed your soul. Yesterday was that day for me. I took a listen to a song by Fiona Kernaghan, singer/songwriter and it just melted me. Her song, “I Don’t Want To Remember” not only has some very clever lyrics but Fiona‘s voice is breathtaking and just draws you in to hear more. Fiona is definitely not a novice at songwriting/singing, she has a vast experience that includes having written twenty hit singles, written theme songs to two TV shows, lots of film and tv placements and over one hundred cuts worldwide. I found the song on her blog that I follow The Song Mistress which takes you on Fiona’s journey of her talented songwriting process. So check out her lyric video for her song, “I Don’t Want To Remember” here:     She has such a magical voice! This song as well as other music by Fiona is available here on Itunes. Please take the time out to check out this amazing artist! Also, make [Read More]

Midnight Cinema new EP Midnight Demos 2013 is OUT NOW!

October 24, 2013

I know it was only a few months ago that I told you about Midnight Cinema‘s last EP and that one was amazing. You can read about it here. Well how about more incredible new music from these talented guys? They  just released earlier this week, Midnight Demos 2013 which is available on Itunes here.  It is filled with another 5 AMAZING songs. It started right off with Back to the Butterflies and I was instantly drawn into this catchy sweet tune that will have you singing along in no time.  Edge of the Earth is that uplifting song that will just help you to take you that next scary step in whatever you struggle with. It really has heartfelt lyrics and it just might be my favorite song for quite a while. Sooner or Later, Perfect Stranger and Someday Never Came deliver again lyrics that can speak to anyone about a variety of things. That is what I love about their music. You can listen to it and feel a personal connection to each [Read More]
