SF Bat Kid to the rescue in San Francisco today!

So how about a great feel good story amidst all the headlines of bad or depressing news??? Today through the Make-A-Wish-Foundation a young 5 year old, Miles Scott spent the day saving San Francisco as Bat Kid! Young Miles as diagnosed with leukemia when he was only 18 months old, he ended his treatments earlier this year and is in remission. Miles wish was to spend the day as Batman. Miles came to San Francisco in order to pick up a Batman costume, little did he know over 7,000 volunteers have worked hard together to make his wish come true as he would fight crime and save San Francisco! Early this morning, it started with Miles watching a news broadcast on KGO-TV with Police Cheif Greg Suh calling for BatKid’s help in San Francisco. His first rescue was as he helped a damsel in distress on the cable car tracks in in Union Square. The Pretty Reckless release incredible new song, Heaven Knows!

I just got back from running errands and I had a very special treat! I had the opportunity to listen to the new song by The Pretty Reckless, “Heaven Knows”. They debuted the song this morning on Sirius XM Octane channel (funny since I cancelled by XM last month because they cancelled Sixx Sense channel and I still get it free for the next month). DAMN this song is AMAZING! It has an old school rock circa Joan Jett/Runaways vibe and the catchiest sing along part on the air today. The song will become available for purchase on Itunes on Tuesday November 19th! Taylor has truly proven to be a Rock Goddess that is on top of the charts these days. The song comes off their upcoming album, Going To Hell which is scheduled for a 2014 release date. Thirsty Thursday spotlight is on Faith and Bullets

Today we are announcing our first spotlight of our Thirsty Thursday features. That is where we feature a young new band that is thirsty to rock and has the power to make it happen! This week we would like to introduce you to a new band from Central California, Faith and Bullets. Faith and Bullets was formed less than 8 months ago and they are ready to take the rock scene by surprise. They have a sound that blends old 80’s rock like Motley Crue, Kiss, Poison, and Dokken with what I call “80’s on replay rock” like Crashdiet, Black Veil Brides, and Reckless Love. So who is Faith and Bullets? Well, it was started by guitarist, Rikk Alexander and then added vocalist; Stevie Meyhem, rhythm guitarist; Cody Gadomski and bassist Abel Lynch. They are still working on adding the drummer and meanwhile have Jason Guidry as their studio and session drummer. ICED EARTH announce North American Headlining Tour in 2014!

2014 is going to be an amazing year for metal band, ICED EARTH. We have been very excited about their upcoming album, “PLAGUES OF BABYLON”which is set for a January 21, 2014 release on Century Media Records. They have also announced their North American Headlining tour with Sabaton and Revamp starting in April 2014. ICED EARTH guitarist and vocalist, Jon Schaffer explains more about the album, “This is a seriously heavy album with a seriously brutal album cover. I’m sure it will go down as a classic in the epic ICED EARTH catalog. We feel that the package with SABATON and REVAMP is very strong and we are very excited to tour the U.S. and Canada again and kick some major ass!” Now that is going to be one fierce album and the tour is going to be just as brutal. Legendary Rockers Scorpions release track listing for upcoming MTV Unplugged CD/DVD

International legendary rockers, Scorpions recently announced the upcoming release of their MTV Unplugged CD/DVD package. The material is from the Scorpions’ first-ever “MTV Unplugged show” and will feature new acoustic versions of their big hits and even five new songs! The sets were recorded and filmed on September 11th and 12th at Lycabettus Theatre in Athens, Greece. The Scorpions is Klaus Meine (vocals/guitar), Rudolf Schenker (guitars/vocals), Matthias Jabs (guitars), Pawel Maciwoda (bass) and James Kottak (drums). Mikael Nord Andersson (guitars, mandolin, lap steel, vocals) and Martin Hansen (guitars, harmonica, vocals) are also providing additonal music support.
