Prayers and Condolences go out to Jake Pitts for the loss of his mom, Carolyn

January 28, 2014

Yesterday was the funeral for the beautiful mother of Jake Pitts (Black Veil Brides) Carolyn Marie Carlson-Pitts.  Carolyn died unexpectedly at the young age of 58 on January 18th, 2014. We all know that we someday will have to endure the loss of our parents and it is quite painful and devastating. I, myself lost my best friend, my father just over 2 years ago on September 2nd, 2011 and not a day goes by that I don’t think about  him. Jake posted the photo  below on his instagram with the following caption: ‘Words cannot describe the feelings, thoughts, prayers, cries, and laughter today. I had to face something everyone will have to one day but I didn’t expect this for another 20 years. Today my mother Carolyn was laid to rest while I’ll wear a piece of her around my neck and take her to places she’s never been. My mother wasn’t normal, just like me, and so many others. But she was a musical genius and taught me the things my small brain [Read More]

TRAGIC FAN DEATH AFTER STAGE DIVE AT SUICIDAL TENDENCIES CONCERT

January 28, 2014

On January 22, Suicidal Tendencies performed in Solothurn, Switzerland with Terror, Strife and Evergreen Terrace. It was a night full of high energy, moshing, stage diving and loud kick ass music. Unfortunately, a 28 year old man from Solothurn attempted a stage dive and the crowd didn’t exactly catch him correctly as he fell to the floor. All seemed to be ok as the man got up and walked around.  The venue security quickly acted to insure the man was alright as they insisted on him being evaluated at the hospital. “Our team decided, however, that he is immediately taken to hospital care,” Pipo Kofmehl explained. Sadly, complications arose for the young man and he died after  a seizure on January 24th.  Although the prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into the incident,  a spokeswoman for the state police, Thalia Schweize was certain that the death was accidental. It is quite a sad story and definitely reminds us of the tragic death of Daniel Nosek at the Lamb of God concert in 2010 in which [Read More]
