Devin Townsend announces details of new double album Z² and tour dates

September 2, 2014

Devin Townsend has announced details in regards to his new long awaited double album. The album titled Z² is set for release on October 28th in the US and October 27th in Europe. The Z² project also will have him performing a landmark show at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall on April 13, 2015. Tickets are available for this enormous show from www.kililive.com. Here is what Devin had to say,  “Hey all!  So it’s been years I’ve been trying to get the energies in line to do another Ziltoid record, and it’s finally happened! Z2 is my new record, and it’s a multimedia event that has taken a ton of people a ton of effort to bring to you! It’s a double album, (one side DTP, and one side Ziltoid) and the concept expands on Ziltoid the alien, and his sci-fi adventures in a way that kind of throws back to 50’s radio plays… but obviously with complicated, heavy music as its soundtrack. It has taken a great deal of energy to put this all together, and the music is [Read More]

The Family Ruin release lyric video for their song, Let’s Go off their upcoming album, Dearly Departed

September 2, 2014

The UK bad ass band, The Family Ruin are just about to set out on tour as support to Crown The Empire on their headlining fall tour. The ‘Welcome To The Resistance Tour’ began on August 30th in Anaheim, CA and due to problems with their visa, The Family Ruin is set to join the tour a little bit later. The Family Ruin have really been garnering a lot of well deserved attention since singing with KBB Records, the new record label of Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce and co-manager Kyle Borman. The Family Ruin have a very fresh new sound complete with hard and heavy riffs blended with infectious harmonies, where they blend their metal and alternative influences with melodic hard rock. There is something for everyone in their sound. Think about a mix of Avenged Sevenfold with Escape the Fate. Dearly Departed is definitely a must have album. In case you missed it, check out our recent review of Dearly Departed here. They have just released a new lyric video for their song, Let’s Go and you [Read More]

We love the new video out for Everything Man and we love it! How was it making the video, looked like a lot of fun? Greg: It was an amazing experience for us all filming Everything Man! We ended up doing three days of shooting at so many different locations, including lugging all of our gear up eight flights of stairs to the roof top of a building in south philly.
