Catch Cyanotic on the Terminatour with support from The Rabid Whole

Chicago based Industrial Rock band Cyanotic have announced the dates of their upcoming North American “TerminaTour” which features support from Toronto based Alternative Rock band The Rabid Whole. The tour kicked off this weekend in Chicago, IL and will wrap up on November 8th at The Warehouse in LaCrosse, WI. Sean Payne from Cyanotic said this about the tour, “We have been through 18 tours now and this is gonna be a really good demonstration of everything we have learned from all those years of playing with bands like Skinny Puppy, Dillinger Escape Plan, Front Line Assembly, and so many of our other biggest influences. Instrumental rock band, STS9 ready to set off on 25 date Autumn Tour

The instrumental rock band STS9 from Atlanta are ready to embark on a 25 date Autumn Tour 2014 which will kick off on October 9th at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis. This will be the first official headlining tour in over a year for STS9. Hot off their two-night sold-out run at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado earlier this month, the group–Hunter Brown (guitar/sequences), Jeffree Lerner (percussion), David Phipps(keyboards/synths), Zach Velmer (drums) and Alana Rocklin (bass)–will be supported on select dates by Grammy-winning producers J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. The 25-date tour will kick off October 9 at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis and then make its way east stopping in Pittsburgh, Detroit, Grand Rapids and Portland before hitting New York Cityon Friday, October 17 at the Best Buy Theater. Interview with Heidi Shephard of Butcher Babies at Aftershock Festival

We recently brought you our coverage of the return of the Butcher Babies at this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. They are one of the most energetic female fronted bands out today. What is really awesome is that these frontwomen could give many men a run for their money when it comes to bringing power and presence to the stage. They hit the stage and took control of the crowd, energized everyone and definitely raised the heat a dozen or so degrees! One band we wanted to make sure to see at Aftershock Festival was none other than Escape the Fate. They have been longtime favorites of ours and to see them perform at this year’s Aftershock was a true highlight. They conquered the 100+ temps and delivered the fans a powerful energetic set. They came right out and started off with my favorite track, You’re Insane. The crowd went wild and if you didn’t think they could get any louder, they did. Everyone was moving around and singing along when they played another favorite, Gorgeous Nightmare. AC/DC announce release date of Dec. 2, 2014 for Rock or Bust and retirement of Malcolm Young

AC/DC have announced the official release date of their new album, Rock or Bust as December 2nd, 2014. They have also announced the retirement of Malcolm Young and that the nephew of Angus and Malcolm, Stevie Young played rhythm guitar on Rock or Bust and will be heading out with the band on a world tour. Here is the statement below from AC/DC on their website: ‘Rock or Bust,’ the highly anticipated new studio album from AC/DC, will be released December 2, 2014. Featuring 11 new tracks and recorded in Spring 2014 at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC, ‘Rock or Bust’ finds AC/DC once again working with producer Brendan O’Brien and mixer Mike Fraser. “Rock or Bust” is the first AC/DC album in the band’s 41 year history without founding member Malcolm Young on the recordings. Snakebite will set sail and perform on this year’s Kiss Kruise!

Earlier this year we brought you an interview with the amazingly talented Brev Sullivan (Rock of Ages). His band, Snakebite are about to set sail next month for the 4th KISS KRUISE which will sail to the Great Stirrup Cay on October 31st to November 4, 2014.   The headliners of the cruise feature Kiss, Cheap Trick, Robin Zander’s, and Pat Travers. Snakebite will be performing on the Soundcheck Stage and will deliver some old school Original Heavy Vinyl Rock definitely proving that Rock n Roll is alive and thriving!
